This page allow you to convert a non-standard problem to a standard problem.
Select the “Modify Problem Code” link under the “Trouble Shooting Guide” business component.
The “Edit Problem Codes” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box:
Problem Code |
The problem code to be modified (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the problem code in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all problem codes that are similar to the value entered here. |
Desc. |
The description of the problem to be modified (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all problem codes whose descriptions are similar to the description entered here. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the problem code to be modified. The system provides the options: “Active” and “Inactive”. Leave the field blank to retrieve all problem codes irrespective of their status. The system leaves this field blank by default. |
Std. Problem |
Use the drop-down list box and set the field as “Yes” if you wish to retrieve standard problem codes. Set the field as “No” to retrieve non-standard problem codes. Leave the field blank to retrieve all problem codes. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton.
Based on the search criteria entered, the system retrieves the problem codes and displays the following field in the “Search Results” multiline:
Problem Code |
The problem code retrieved by the system. This field cannot be edited. |
Enter the following fields in the multiline:
Desc. |
The description of the problem code (Alphanumeric, 150). |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the status of the problem code. The system provides the options: “Active” and “Inactive”. Set the status as “Inactive”, if you wish to disable the problem code from future reference in other activities. If you leave the field blank, the system sets this field as “Active”. |
Std. Problem |
Use the drop-down list box and set the field as “Yes” if you wish to convert a non-standard problem to a standard problem. Set the field as “No” to convert a standard problem to a non-standard problem. |
If you leave the field blank, the system sets the field as “Yes”. |
Click the “Modify” pushbutton to update the modified details of the problem codes.
