Edit Problem Code – A summary of the activity

The “Edit Problem Code” activity allows you to modify the problem codes that are already defined. You can retrieve the standard or non-standard problem codes by carrying out a search based on problem code, description of the problem code and the status. You are allowed to modify the description of the problem code and the status.

You can convert a non-standard problem to a standard problem, for the following reasons:

• If you wish to refer to the problem code for raising work orders

• If you wish to carry out an analysis on the problem code for determining its importance and for recommending corrective action
