This page allows you to specify tools required for the procedure as well for the tasks that belong to the procedure. Tell me more.
Select the “Tool Requirement” link from the bottom of the main page.
The “Tools Requirement” page appears.
Enter the following field if you wish to specify tools for a procedure other than the procedure selected in the main page:

Press <Enter>. The system retrieves the tasks belonging to the procedure entered in this page, in the “Tool Reqt” drop-down list box. The system retrieves the description of the procedure alongside. |

Use the drop-down list box and select “Additional Requirements” to specify the additional tools for the procedure. If you wish to specify tools for the task belonging to the procedure, select the appropriate task from the drop-down list box. The system displays “Additional Requirements” by default. |
Based on the option selected in the “Tool Reqt.” field, if you have already specified tools for the procedure or for the tasks belonging to the procedure, the system retrieves the details in the “Tools” multiline. |
Enter the following fields in the “Tools” multiline to add tools to the procedure or the task:
Tool Code |
The tool to be specified for the task or procedure (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the tool has already been defined in the "Define Tool“ activity of the “Tools” business component. This field cannot be modified. |

Press <Enter>. The system retrieves the “Description” and “Tool Cost/Hr” fields in the mutliline. |

Enter the following fields in the multiline:
Duration (Hrs.) |
The number of the hours for which the tool is required (Decimal). Ensure that the duration is not negative and not greater than the total procedure duration. If you leave the field blank, the system displays by default, the task duration, if the tool is specified for a task or the procedure duration if the tool is specified as additional requirements for the procedure. |
Qty. (Nos.) |
The number of tools, required for the completion of the task or procedure (Decimal). Ensure that the quantity is positive. If you leave the field blank, the system displays “1”, by default. |

The cost of utilizing the tool per hour. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the mutliline, to select the skills for removing from the task or procedure.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to remove the selected skills from the task or procedure.
Click the “Update” pushbutton to specify tools for the procedure.

Tools Requirement – An overview
This page allows you to specify tools required for the procedure as well for the tasks that belong to the procedure. You can specify tools to the procedure selected in the main page. You can also directly enter a procedure other than the procedure selected in the main page and specify tools to it.
You can enter the tool directly or select a tool using the help facility. You can also modify the details of the tools that have already been specified to the procedure. Details such as the number of hours for which the tool is required and the number of tools required can be modified. You can also delete an existing tool, from the procedure or from the tasks belonging to the procedure.
Define Tool under the “Tools” business component.
You can specify the tools that are required for carrying out the procedure.
Enter the tool code of the skill that is required in the “Tool Code” field in the multiline.
Click the “Update” pushbutton.
