This page allows you to specify the tools required for the completion of a task. Tell me more.
Select the “Tool Requirement” link from the bottom of the main page.
The “Tools Requirement” page appears.
Enter the following field, if you wish to specify tools to a task other than the task selected in the main page:

The task for which you wish to specify tools (Alphanumeric, 30). |

Press <Enter>. The system displays the details of the tools that are already specified for the task, in the “Tools” multiline. |

The textual description of the task is displayed alongside. |

Enter the following fields in the multiline, if you wish to specify tools to the task:

Tool Code |
The tool to be specified for the task (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the tool is already defined in the "Define Tool” activity of the “Tool” business component. This field cannot be modified. |

Press <Enter>. The system retrieves the “Description” and “Tool Cost/Hr” fields in the mutliline. |

The textual description of the tool. |
Enter the following fields in the multiline:

Duration (Hrs.) |
The number of hours for which the tool is required (Decimal). Ensure that the duration is non-negative. Also ensure that the duration entered is not greater than the task duration. If you leave the field blank, the system displays the duration of the task, by default. |

Qty. (Nos.) |
The number of tools required (Decimal). Mandatory. Ensure that the quantity is positive. If you leave the field blank, the system displays “1”, by default. |

The system displays the following field in the multiline: |

Tool Cost / Hr. |
The unit rate per hour of the tool. |
Check the box in the ”Select:” column of the multiline, to select the tools that you wish to delete from the task.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the selected tools from the task.
Click the “Update” pushbutton to update the modified details of the tool.

Tools Requirement – An overview
This page allows you to specify the tools required for the completion of a task. Tools are defined in the “Define Tool” activity of the “Tools” business component. You can specify tools to the task selected in the previous page. You can also directly enter a task, other than the task selected in the previous page, and specify tools for it.
You can enter the number of hours for which the tool is required and the number of tools required to execute the task. You can enter the tool directly or you can select a tool using the help facility. You can also modify or delete the tools that are already specified for the task.

You can specify the other resources that are required for carrying out the task.
Enter the identifier of the other resource that is required in the “Other Resource Code” field in the multiline.
Click the “Update” pushbutton.
