Associate tools - A summary of the activity

This activity allows you to associate tools to a work group. A work group is defined as the basic unit for carrying out maintenance activities in an organization. Employees, tools and Other Resources can be associated to a work group for carrying out the maintenance work. Each tool, identified by a unique code in the “Define Tool” activity of the “Tools” business component, is associated to a work group in this activity.

You can associate to the work group, the tools that are permanently, or for a reasonably long term, made available to that work group for carrying out maintenance activities.

• Select the work group, to which tools must be associated, in the “Select Work Group” page.

• Use the “Associate Tools To Work Group” page to associate tools to the work group.
