Select the “Problems” link from the bottom of the “Create Work Order” or the “Edit Work Order” page.
The “Problems” page appears.
The system displays the following fields:

The total estimated cost of the work order. |
Enter the following fields:
Major Problem |
The major problem for which the work order is being created (Alphanumeric, 30). If you have specified a standard problem, ensure that it is already defined in the “Create Problem Code” activity of the “Trouble Shooting Guide” business component and is in the “Active” status. If you have entered a non-standard problem, enter the description in the edit box alongside. |

Note: If you have specified a non-standard problem, the system automatically generates a number in the format as set in the “Option Settings” activity of the “Trouble Shooting Guide” business component. Refer to the topic, “Setting options for trouble shooting guide” for more details.
If you have not set the format, the system generates a unique number for the non-standard problem starting from “000001”. The system displays the number in the “Major Problem” field when you click the “Modify” pushbutton.

Ensure that the problem is unique to the multiline and the problem specified in the “Major Problem” field is not specified. |

Note: If you have specified a non-standard problem, the system automatically generates a number in the format as set in the “Option Settings” activity of the “Trouble Shooting Guide” business component. Refer to the topic, “Setting options for trouble shooting guide” for more details.
If you have not set the format, the system generates a unique number for the non-standard problem starting from “000001”. The system displays the number in the “Problems” field when you click the “Modify” pushbutton.
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the problems for deletion from the multiline.
Click the Delete icon in the toolbar above the multiline to delete the selected problems.
Click the “Modify” pushbutton.
Note: The system updates the problem details for the work order. It also removes the problems that are marked for deletion and generates a problem code for a non-standard problem.
The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

The date and time at which the work order was created. |

The login ID of the user who last modified the work order. |
Last Modified Date |
The date and time at which the work order was last modified. |
Click the “Cancel” pushbutton to return to the previous page.
Defining problems while raising work order – An overview
In this page, you can specify the problems for which the work order is raised. You can specify a problem as the major problem or modify the major problem that you have already defined in the “Create Work Order” activity or the “Edit Work Order” page.
You can also enter in the multiline the various other problems for which the work order is raised. You can use the help facility and specify a standard problem. Or you can create a non-standard problem by entering the description of the problem in the multiline. The system automatically generates a problem code for the non-standard problem based on the numbering options that have been set in the “Options Settings” activity of the “Trouble Shooting Guide” business component. For more details regarding the setting of numbering option for a non-standard problem, refer to the topic, “Option Settings in Trouble Shooting Guide”.
You can also delete a problem, which has been specified for the work order in this activity.
