This page allows you to specify tools required for the work order as well for the tasks that belong to the work order. Tell me more.
Select the “Tool” link from the bottom of the “Create Work Order” or the “Modify Work Order” page.
The “Tool Requirement” page appears.
The system displays the following fields:

The work order for which tools have to be specified. |
Date |
The date on which the work order was created. |
Desc. |
The description of the work order. |

The status of the work order, which can be “Fresh” or “Waitappr”. |
WO On |
The maintainable object on which the work order is created, which can be “Equipment” or “Location”. |
Code |
The identifier of the equipment or location on which the work order is raised. |
The description of the equipment or location is displayed alongside. |

Work Group |
The work group that is responsible for carrying out the work order. |
Total Est. Cost |
The total estimated cost of the work order. |
Enter the following field:
Select Task |
Use the drop-down list box and select “Additional Requirements”, to specify tools to the work order. If you wish to specify the tools for a task, select the appropriate task from the drop-down list box. The system displays “Additional Requirements” by default. |
The description of the task is retrieved alongside. |

The system retrieves in the “Tools Reqt.” multiline, the tools that are already specified in the work order. You can add more tools by entering the following fields in the multiline.

The tool to be specified for the work order (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the tool has already been defined in the “Define Tool” activity of the “Tools” business component and is in the “Active” status. |

The number of tools required for the work order (Integer). |

The number of hours for which the tool is required (Decimal). |

The total estimated cost of utilizing the tool. |

Any additional information about utilizing the tool (Alphanumeric, 255). |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the tools that are not to be specified in the work order.
Click the Delete icon in the toolbar above the multiline to delete the selected tools.
Click the “Modify” pushbutton to update the tools specified for the work order.
The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box.

The login ID of the user who created the work order. |
Created Date |
The date and time at which the work order was created. |
Last Modified By |
The login ID of the user who last modified the work order. |
Last Modified Date |
The date and time at which the work order was modified. |
Specifying tools for the work order – An overview
This page allows you to specify tools required for the work order as well for the tasks that belong to the work order. You can specify tools to the work order selected in the main page.
You can enter the tool directly or select a tool using the help facility. You can also modify the details of the tools that have already been specified in the work order. Details such as the number of hours for which the tool is required, the number of tools required and any additional information pertaining to the tool can be modified. You can also delete an existing tool, from the work order or from the tasks belonging to the work order.

You can specify the tool requirement for the work order in this page.
Enter the tool that is required in the “Tool” field in the “Tool Requirement” multiline.
Specify the number of tools required in the “Quantity” field and the number of hours for which the tool is required in the “Duration (Hrs)” field.
Click the “Modify” pushbutton.
