Select the “Update Down time” link in the “Select Work Order” page. Alternatively, select the hyperlinked work order number in the multiline of the same page.
The “Update Equipment Down Time” page appears.
If you wish to record the equipment down time of a work order other than the work order selected in the previous page, enter the following field:

The work order for which you wish to record equipment down time (Alphanumeric, 18). |
Press <Enter>. The system retrieves the details of the work order. The description of the work order is displayed alongside. |

Planning Group |
The planning group of the work order. |
Sch. Start Date |
The date and time at which the work order is scheduled to start. |
Sch. Compl. Date |
The date and time at which the work order is scheduled to be completed. |
Enter the following fields:
Total Eqp. Down Hrs. |
The number of hours for which the equipment was down (Decimal). Ensure that the down hours entered here are not negative. |
Production Affected Down Hrs. |
The number of hours for which the production was affected due to the equipment being down (Decimal). Ensure that the down hours entered here are not negative. |
Down Time Comments |
Any information pertaining to the down time of the equipment (Alphanumeric, 255). |

Enter the following fields in the “Eqp. Down Time” multiline:
From Date |
The starting date from which the equipment is down (Date Format). Ensure that the date entered is earlier than the current system date. |
To Date |
The date till which the equipment is down (Date Format). Ensure that the date entered is earlier than the current system date and later than the date entered in the “From Date” field. |
Eqp. Down Hrs. |
The number of hours the equipment is down between the dates specified in the “From Date” and “To Date” fields (Decimal). Ensure that the down hours entered here are not negative. Also ensure that the down hours is not more than the number of hours between the dates entered in the “From Date” and the “To Date” fields. |
Note: If the sum of the equipment down hours entered in all the rows in the multiline is greater than the down hours entered in the “Total Eqp Down Hrs.” field in the header, the system replaces the down hours entered in the header with the total of the down hours entered in the multiline.
Production Affected Down Hrs. |
The number of hours during which the production was affected due to the equipment being down between the dates specified in the “From Date” and “To Date” fields (Decimal). Ensure that the down hours entered here are not negative. Also ensure that the down hours is not more than the number of hours between the dates entered in the “From Date” and the “To Date” fields. |
Note: If the sum of the production affected down hours entered in all the rows in the multiline is greater than the down hours entered in the “Production Affected Down Hrs.” field in the header, the system replaces the down hours entered in the header with the total of the down hours entered in the multiline.

You can update the details of down time of equipment or location in this page.
Enter the total down time of the equipment or location in the “Total Eqp Down Hrs.” field.
Enter the number of production hours during which the equipment was down in the “Production Affected Down Hrs.” field.
You can also record the equipment down time for a specific period in the “Eqp. Down Time” multiline.
Click the “Update” pushbutton.
Recording down time of equipment – An overview
This page allows you to record the down time of equipment or location, on which the work order selected from the main page was raised. You can also enter a work order directly in this page and record the down time of the equipment or location on which it was raised. You can record the number of hours the equipment was down as well as the number of hours the production was affected due to the equipment being down.
You can specify the total number of hours for which the equipment was down. Otherwise you can also specify the dates and the number of down hours of the equipment between the specific dates. You can also enter any comments pertaining to the down hours of the equipment.
