Report Equipment Down Time – A summary of the activity
This activity allows you to record the down time of equipment or location. Down time indicates the number of hours the equipment was not available for production. It might be due to various reasons such as maintenance work being carried out on the equipment, waiting time for resources and clearance, repair time which includes testing, or trial time. The down time of equipment is recorded for the purpose of doing failure analysis and for reporting.
Equipment down time can be broadly classified into two types: “production affected” and “production not affected”. The “production affected” equipment down time represents an opportunity loss cost due to the loss of production hours.
