Work Orders Progress Reporting
This activity allows you to report the progress made in a work order.
Select the “Report Work Order Progress” link under the “EAM Work Order Execution” business component.
The “Work Orders Progress Reporting” page appears.
To search for a work order
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a work order. Data entry in these fields is optional:
WO No. |
The work order for which progress made must be recorded (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the work order in full or specify it partially. The system displays all the work orders that are similar to the work order entered here. Leave the field blank to retrieve all work orders. |
Desc. |
The textual description of the work order (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially. The system displays all the work orders whose descriptions are similar to the description entered here. Leave the field blank to retrieve all work orders. |
WO Status |
Use the drop-down list box to retrieve work orders based on its status. The system provides the options: “Scheduled”, “InProgress” and “Interrupted”. Leave the field blank, if you wish to retrieve work orders belonging to all the three statuses. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |
WO On |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether you wish to retrieve work orders that are created on equipment or on location. The system provides the options: “Equipment” and “Location”. Leave the field blank to retrieve work orders that are created either on equipment or on location. |
Code |
The equipment or location for which you wish to retrieve the work orders that are created (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all work orders, created on equipment or location with codes similar to the code entered here. |
Work Group |
The work group, which is responsible for carrying out the work order (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the work group in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all work groups, which are similar to the work group entered here. |
Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the work order to be retrieved. The system lists all the types that are defined in the “Define WO Types” activity and are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank to retrieve all work orders irrespective of their type. |
Category |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the category of the work order to be retrieved. The system lists all the categories that have been defined in the “Define WO Categories” activity and are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank to retrieve all work orders irrespective of the category to which it belongs. |
Priority |
Use the drop-down list box to retrieve work orders based on their priority. The system fills in all the priorities that have been defined in the “Define Priority“ activity of the “Maintenance Organization” business component. Leave the field blank to retrieve all the work orders, irrespective of the priority attached to them. |
Location |
The location of the equipment for which you wish to retrieve all the work orders that have been created (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the location in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all the equipment whose locations are similar to the location entered here. Leave the field blank to retrieve work orders created in all locations. |
Planning Group |
The planning group of the work order (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the planning group in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all planning groups, which are similar to the planning group entered here. |
Root Cause Analysis Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the root cause analysis status. The combo is loaded with “Not Required”, “Required”, “Completed”, “In Progress” and “Open”. The system displays “Not Required” by default on launch of the page. |
Ref. Doc. Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of document based on which the work order was created. The system provides the options: “Work Request”, “PM”, “Maint.Plan”, “Calib. Order”, “Inspec. Order” and “Work Log”. Leave the field blank to retrieve work orders created with reference to all the above document types. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |

Enter the following fields in the “Sch. Start Date” field to retrieve work orders which are scheduled to start during a specific period:
From |
The date starting from which you wish to retrieve the work orders that are scheduled to start (Date Format). |
To |
The date till which you wish to retrieve the work orders that are scheduled to start (Date Format). Leave the field blank to retrieve all work orders that are created till the current date. |
Enter the following fields in the “Act. Start Date” field to retrieve work orders based on the period on which the work on the work order has started:
From |
The date starting from the work on the work order has started (Date Format). |
To |
The date till which the work on the work order has started (Date Format). Leave the field blank to retrieve all work orders that are started till the current date. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton.
The system retrieves the results of the search criteria entered in the “Search Results” multiline:

The system retrieves the details of the progress already recorded. Enter the following fields in the multiline:
% Completion |
The percentage completion of the work order (Decimal). Ensure that the value entered in this field is not more than “100%” and not negative. |
As Of Date |
The date on which the percentage completion of the work order is recorded (Date Format). Ensure that the date entered in this field is not earlier than the date entered in the “Act. Start Date” field and later than the current system date. The system displays the current date, by default. |
Time |
Enter the time by which the percentage completion of the work order is recorded (Time Format). Ensure that the time entered in this field is not earlier than the time entered in the “Act. Start Date” field and later than the current system time. The system defaults the current time, by default. |
Wo Duration (Hrs.) |
The number of hours taken for the execution of the work order (Decimal). Ensure the following: |

WO On |
The maintainable object on which the work order is raised. The system displays “Equipment” or “Location”. |
Code |
The identifier of the equipment or location. |
Sch. Start Date |
The date on which the work on the work order was scheduled to start. |
Actual Start Date |
The date on which the work on the work order has actually started. |
Work Group |
The work group that is responsible for carrying out the work order. |
Planning Group |
The planning group of the work order. |
To mark the work order as completed
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the work order which must be marked as completed.
Click the “Complete WO” pushbutton to mark the work order as completed.
Note: The system sets that status of the work order as “Completed, the percentage completion as100% and also changes all the statuses of all the tasks belonging to the work order, except those tasks that are in the “Fresh” status, to “Completed”.
To save the details
Click the “Update” pushbutton to update the details of work order progress.
The system does the following:
The system saves the progress of the work order.
If the “% Completion” field is set as “100”, the system sets the status of the work order as Completed” and also the status of all the tasks belonging to the work order, except those tasks that are in the “Fresh” status as “Completed”.
You can mark a work order as completed in this page.
Select the work order that must be marked for completion.
Click the “Complete Work Order” pushbutton to mark the work order as completed.
The system changes the status of the work order as well as of the tasks belonging to the work order to “Completed”.
The work order must be in the “Scheduled” status.
