Using Online Help

This activity allows you to perform the root cause analysis while reporting the work order. You can specify the detailed description of the problem and record the observations. You can also specify the root cause start date, start time, completion date and completion time in the root cause analysis group box. You can also upload the document associated with the problem.

The “Root Cause Analysis” page appears.

Note:  Clicking this icon available near certain fields takes you to the help page of the respective field.

The system displays the following details in the header.

Status

The status of the work order.

WO No.

A unique number identifying the work order.

Description

The detailed description of the work order.

Work Group

The work group that is responsible for carrying out the work on the work order.

WO On

The maintainable object on which the work order is raised, which can be “Equipment” or “Location”.

Code

The identifier of the equipment or location.

Description

The description of the equipment or location.

WO Type

The type of the work order.               

Category

The category to which the work order belongs.

Priority

The priority or level of importance assigned to the work order.

Problem Code

A unique code identifying the problem.

Problem Description

The detailed description of the problem.

Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type. The combo is loaded with “Problem” and “Cause”. The system displays “Problem” by default on launch of the page.

Observations

Indicates the observation details of the problem or the cause.

Remarks

Any remarks pertaining to the observations.

The path that identifies the document to be uploaded.

Root Cause

A unique code identifying the root cause of the problem.

The system displays the following details in the “Root Cause Analysis” group box.

Root Cause Description

The detailed description of the root cause analysis.

RCA Status

Indicates the root cause analysis status. The status can be “Not Required”, or “Required”, or “Completed”, or “In Progress” or “Open”.

RCA Start Date

The date on which the root cause analysis was performed.

RCA Start Time

The time at which the root cause analysis was performed.

Equipment TSG

A unique code identifying the equipment trouble shooting guide.

RCA Completion Date

The date on which the root cause analysis was completed.

RCA Completion Time

The time at which the root cause analysis was completed.

Add To TSG

Select this check box, if you wish to add the new problem to the trouble shooting guide.

RCA Performed By

A unique code identifying the employee performed the root cause analysis.

The system displays the following details in the “Root Cause Analysis” group box.

Name

The name of the employee.

The system saves the details.
