Select the “Employee/Skill Assignment” link from the bottom of the “Select Work Order” page
The “Employee / Skill Assignment” page appears.
If you wish to assign employee or skills to a work order other than the work order selected in the previous page, enter the following field:

WO No. |
The work order for which employees or skills are to be assigned (Alphanumeric, 18). |

Press <Enter>. The system retrieves the skills or employees already assigned to the work order. The description of the work order is retrieved alongside. You can enter the modified description (Alphanumeric, 150). |

The system retrieves the tasks belonging to the work order in the “Assign To” drop-down list box. The employees and skills that are already assigned to the work order are retrieved in the multiline.

Assign To |
Use the drop-down list box and select “Work Order”, to specify employees or skills for the work order. If you wish to specify employees or skills for the task belonging to the work order, select the appropriate task from the drop-down list box. The system displays “Work Order” by default. |

WO Status |
The status of the work order, which can be “Scheduled” or “In-Progress”. |

The status of the task. |

Sch. Start Date |
The date on which the work order is scheduled to start. |

The date on which the work order must be completed. |

WO Date |
The date on which the work order is created. |
|
Work Group |
The work group that is responsible for carrying out the work order. |

WO Est. Skill Hrs. |
The estimated number of hours for which skills and employees are required for the completion of the work order. |

WO Assign Hrs. |
The total number of hours for which employees and skills are actually assigned to the work order. |
|
Planning Group |
The planning group of the work order. |
|
Task Est Skill Hrs. |
The estimated number of hours for which employees and skills are required for the completion of the task. |

Task Assign Hrs. |
The total number of hours for which employees or skills are actually assigned to the task. |
The system retrieves the employee and skills already assigned to the work order or for the tasks that are specified for the work order in the multiline. If you are assigning employees/skills to the work order for the first time and if the status of the work order is “Scheduled”, the system retrieves the estimated skills in the multiline.
Enter the following fields in the “Assignment Details” multiline to specify skills for the work order or for the tasks that are specified for the work order.

Employee |
The employee utilized for the work order (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the employee has already been defined in the “Employee Information business component of “Ramco Human Resources Management Solution”. |

Press <Enter>. The system retrieves the “Skill Code”, “Skill Description” and “Employee Name” fields in the multiline. The system also displays by default “1” in the “Quantity (Nos.)” field. |

Skill |
The skill to be specified for the work order (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the skill is already defined in the “Competency” business component of Ramco Human Resources Management Solution. If an employee is entered in the “Employee Code” field, the system retrieves the skill to which the employee is attached, in this field. |

Press <Enter>. The system retrieves the “Skill Description” field in the multiline. |

Qty. (Nos.) |
The number of employees with the skill specified in the “Skill Code” field, who are assigned for carrying out the work order (Decimal). Ensure that you enter only “1” in this field, if you have specified an employee in the “Employee Code” field. Also ensure that the quantity entered in this field is not negative. The system defaults “1” in this field, if you leave it blank. |

From Date |
The date from which the skill is assigned to the work order (Date Format). Data entry in this field is mandatory, if you have specified an employee in the “Employee Code” column in the multiline. Ensure that the date entered here |

From Time |
The time from which the skill is assigned to the work order (Time Format). Ensure that you enter the time in this field only if you have specified a date in the “From” field. |

To Date |
The date till which the skill is assigned to the work order (Date Format). Data entry in this field is mandatory, if you have specified a skill in the “Skill” column in the multiline. |

To Time |
The time till which the skill is assigned to the work order (Time Format). Ensure that you enter the time in this field only if you have specified a date in the “To” field. |

Hrs./Day |
The number of hours in a day, for which the skill is assigned to the work order (Decimal). Ensure that the hours entered is not more than “24”. |

Est. Duration (Hrs.) |
The number of hours for which the skill or employee is required for the work order. |
|
No. Of Days |
The number of days for which the skill or employee is assigned to the work order. |

Name |
The name of the employee. |

Skill Desc. |
The description of the skill. |
If you wish to view the details of the work orders to which the skill or employee has already been assigned before assigning it to the work order,
Click the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the skill or employee.
Select the “Employee Assignment Details” link from the bottom of the page to view employee assignments.
Select the “Skill Assignment Details” link from the bottom of the page to view skill assignments.
If you wish to view additional information about skills or employees before assigning them to the work order,
For skills
Select the “Skill Loading” link from the bottom of the page to view the percentage of loading of skills for the assignment period.
Select the “Estimated Skills” link from the bottom of the page to view the estimated number of hours for which skills are required for the completion of the work order.
For employees
Select the “Employee Loading” link from the bottom of the page to view the percentage of loading of employees for the assignment period.
Select the “Employee Calendar” link from the bottom of the page to view the employee calendar.
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to delete the assignment of the employees or skills to the work order or task.
Click the Delete icon in the toolbar above the multiline to delete the assignments.
Click the “Assign” pushbutton to assign skills to the work order.
The system performs the following:
assigns employees and skills to the work order or to the tasks that are specified for the work order.
f employees or skills are assigned to any task of the work order, the total number of hours for which the employees or skills are assigned to the task is calculated and displayed in the “Tsk. Assign. Hrs.” field.
the total number of hours for which employees or skills are assigned to the work order is also calculated and displayed in the “WO Assign. Hrs.” field
The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

The login ID of the user who created the work order. |

Created Date |
The date and time of the creation of the work order. |

Last Modified By |
The login ID of the user who last modified the work order. |

Last Modified Date |
The date and time when the work order was last modified. |
Assigning employees or skills to the work order – An overview
This page allows you to assign the employees or skills required for carrying out the work order as well as for the tasks that that are specified for the work order. You can assign skills to the work order selected in the “Select Work Order” page. You can also enter a work order directly in this page and assign skills to it.
You can enter the skill or employee directly or select an employee using the help facility. You can also modify the details of the employees or skills that have already been assigned to the work order. Details such as the start date and time from which the employee/skill is assigned, the end date and time till which the employee/skill is assigned and the number of hours for which the employee/skill is assigned in a day can be specified. You can also delete an existing skill or employee, from the work order or from the tasks belonging to the work order.

You can assign employees or skills to the work order in this page.
Enter the employee or skill to be assigned in the “Employee” or “Skill” field.
If you are assigning a skill, enter the number of employees with the specific skill in the “Quantity (Nos.)” field.
Enter the period for which the skill or employee is required in the “From Date” and “To Date” fields.
Click the “Assign” pushbutton.
