Tool Code

Tool Sr. No.

The serial number of the tool.

Day 1…Day 15

The percentage utilization of the tool on the date starting from the date specified in the “From (Day 1)” field till the date specified in the “To” field. The loading is calculated as follows:

  • The number of hours for which the tool is available in a day is ascertained either from the tool calendar or from the number of hours that has been specified in the “Option Settings” activity of the “Tools” business component. If a tool calendar is not defined, then the system checks if this tool is defined as equipment and if there is a preventive maintenance schedule attached to it.  In that case, the system checks for the availability of the tool for each day. If there is no calendar and no PM Schedule defined, the number of hours for which the tool is available for the day is assumed to be 24 hours.

  • The total number of hours for which the tool is actually assigned to the work orders is calculated.

  • The loading is then calculated by the following formula:

Tool Loading = Assigned hours of the tool / Available Hours of the tool * 100
