This activity allows you to set the options for various fields in the “WO Planning and scheduling” business component. Tell me more.

Automatic Reservation Of Parts on Scheduling?

Use the drop-down list box to set the option for automatically reserving spare parts for the work order or task on scheduling. The system provides the following options:

 
  • Yes – Select this option if you wish to automatically reserve spare parts for the work order or task on scheduling. The system will automatically reserve spare parts for the work order when the work order or task is scheduled in the “Schedule Work Order” activity.

 
  • No – Select this option if you do not wish to automatically reserve spare parts for the work order or task on scheduling.

The system sets this field as “No”, by default.

   

Set Default Allocation Method For All Parts

Use the drop-down list box to set an allocation method as the default. The system provides the following options:

 
  • Max. Bin Level – Select this option if you wish to allocate stock from the bin with maximum stock.

 
  • Min. Bin Level – Select this option if you wish to allocate stock from the bin with minimum stock.

 
  • LIFO – Select this option if you wish to allocate stock, which arrived last in the warehouse.

 
  •  FIFO – Select this option if you wish to allocate stock, which arrived first in the warehouse.

 
  • Latest Expiry – Select this option if you wish to allocate stock that has the latest expiry date.

 
  • Earliest Expiry – Select this option if you wish to allocate stock that has the earliest expiry date.

 

The system leaves the field blank, by default.

Partial Allocate?

Use the drop-down list box to set the option for partially allocating spare parts to a work order. Set the field as “Yes” if you wish to allow partial allocation of spare parts. Set the field as “No” if you do not wish to allow partial allocation of spare parts. The system sets this field as “No”, by default.
