This page allows you to hold the tasks that are specified for a work order. Tell me more.
Select the “Hold Tasks” link from the “Hold Work Orders” page.
The “Hold Tasks” page appears.
If you wish to hold a work order other than the work order selected in the previous page, enter the following field:

The work order whose tasks you wish to hold (Alphanumeric, 18). Ensure that the work order is not in the “Deferred” or “Interrupted” status. |

Press <Enter>. The system retrieves the details of the work order. |
The system displays the following:

WO Status |
The status of the work order, which can be “Scheduled” or “In-Progress”. |

WO Date |
The date on which the work order is created. |

Desc. |
The description of the work order. |

Work Group |
The work group that is responsible for carrying out the work order. |

Sch. Date |
The date on which the work order is scheduled to start. |

Compl. Date |
The date on which the work order is scheduled to complete. |

Indicates whether the work order is scheduled by “Work Order” or by “Task”. |

WO Priority |
The priority or the level of importance assigned to the work order. |
|
Supervisor |
The supervisor in charge of supervising the execution of the work order. |

WO On |
The maintainable object on which the work order is raised. The system displays either “Equipment” or “Location”. |

Code |
The identifier of the equipment or location on which the work order is raised. |
|
Location |
The location of the equipment. |
|
WO Type |
The type of the work order. |
|
WO Category |
The category of the work order. |
|
Planning Group |
The planning group associated with the work order. |
|
Clearance |
The system displays whether clearance from production is required for carrying out the work order. The system displays “Required” or “Not Required”. |

Permit Type |
The type of permit that will be raised for carrying out the work order. |

Parent WO |
The parent work order of the work order that for which the tasks are put into hold |

The system displays the tasks of the work order in the “Task Details” multiline:

Note: You can hold a task only when it is in the “Scheduled” or “In-Progress” status.

The delay or reason for which the task is put on hold (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the delay code is already defined in the “Define Delay Codes” activity of the “Work Order Execution” business component and is in the “Active” status. |

The system displays the following fields in the multiline:

The date on which the task must be started. |

Time |
The time at which the task must be started. |

The date on which the task must be completed. |

The time at which the task must be completed. |

Task Priority |
The level of importance that is assigned to the task. |

To cancel all assignments
Check the “Cancel All Assignments” box to cancel all the resources that are assigned for the task.
To cancel the parts reservation
Check the “Cancel All Parts Reservations” box to cancel the parts that are reserved for the task, when the task is held.
To hold the work order
Enter the following fields in the “WO Hold Information” group box:
Check the “Hold WO” box to hold the work order.
Enter the following fields:

Delay Code |
The delay or reason for which the work order is put on hold (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the delay code is already defined in the “Create Delay Codes” activity of the “Work Order Execution” business component and is in the “Active” status. |

Click the “Submit” pushbutton to hold the tasks in the work order.
The system performs the following:
The system holds the selected tasks.
The status of the tasks that are held changes to “Deferred” if it was “Scheduled”, and “Interrupted” if it was “In-Progress”.
If the “Hold WO” box is checked, the system holds the work order and changes the status to “Deferred” if it was“Scheduled”, and “Interrupted” if it was “In Progress”. The system also changes the status of all the tasks that belong to the work order that are in the “Scheduled” status to “Deferred” and those that are in the “In Progress” status to “Interrupted”.
If the “Hold WO” box is unchecked and if you have selected all the tasks except those tasks that are in the “Fresh” or “Completed” status, the system holds only the selected tasks and changes the status.
If the “Hold WO” box is unchecked and if you have selected all the tasks except those tasks that are already on hold, the system holds the work order along with the tasks. The status of the work order changes to “Deferred” if it was in the “Scheduled” status, and “Interrupted” if it was in the “In Progress” status. The status of the tasks also changes accordingly.
Records the status change of the work order in work order history
If the “Cancel All Parts Reservations” box is checked, the system unreserves all the parts that are reserved for the task and unallocates all the parts that were allocated to the selected task.
If the “Cancel All Assignments” box is checked, the system cancels all theresources(Employees/Skill/Tool/Other Resource) that are assigned to the task.

Holding tasks of a work order – An overview
This page allows you to hold the tasks that are specified for a work order. You can hold the tasks that are specified for the work order that is selected in the “Hold Work Orders” page. You can also directly enter a work order in this page and hold the tasks that are specified for it. The details of the tasks are retrieved in the multiline. You can select more than one task at the same time and hold them. The system holds the work order, if you hold all the tasks that have been specified for the work order. You can also enter any additional information on holding the tasks of the work order. The system performs the following on holding the tasks:
The status of the tasks that are held changes to “Deferred” if it was “Scheduled” and “Interrupted” if it was “In-Progress”.
All the parts and the resources that have been reserved for the tasks are unreserved.
Any purchase requests that have been raised for procuring parts for the execution of the task is canceled.
Schedule Work Order/Schedule Bulk WO
You can cancel all the parts that are reserved or allocated for the task when the task is put on hold.
Check the “Cancel All Parts Reservation” box to cancel the parts reserved.
You can cancel all the resources that are assigned to the task, when the task is put on hold.
Check the “Cancel All Assignments” box to cancel the resources that are assigned.

Check the “Hold On” box to specify that the work order must be held.
Specify the delay for which the work order is held in the “Delay Code” field.
Enter the reason for which the work order is put on hold in the “Reason for Hold” field.
Click the “Submit” pushbutton.
