Creating currency denominations
This page allows you to define the denominations for the currencies that have already been defined. Denominations are defined to make cash payments. You can enter the denomination of the currency along with the description. The system stores the login ID of the user along with the denomination details.
Select the “Create Currency Denominations” link at the bottom of the “Create Currency” page.
The “Create Currency Denominations” page appears.
Enter the following field:
ISO Currency Code |
Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the ISO currency for which you want to define the denominations. All the ISO currency codes that have been defined for the company and that are in the “Active” status will be available for selection in the ascending order. |
The system displays the following:

The textual description of the currency. |
Enter the following fields in the “Currency Denominations” multiline:
Denominations |
The denomination of the selected currency (Integer). Mandatory. Every currency has its own unique denomination. For example, Dollars are available in the following denominations of 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 and so on. Even the smallest denomination of the dollar like a cent, dime or quarter can also be defined. |
Note: The denomination entered in this field must be greater than zero.

A textual description of the denominations (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. |
Click the “Create Currency Denominations” pushbutton to create the denominations for the currency.
The system saves the denomination details in the denominations entity along with the company.
The system also updates the login ID of the user and the system date in the “Created By” and the “Created Date” fields.
The system displays the following:
Created By |
The login ID of the user who created the denominations. |
Created Date |
The date on which the denominations were created. |
Select the “Collaborate” link at the bottom of the page to record or to view the observations or comments or discussions regarding the document.
