This page allows you to update identification details allocated to a company. Tell me more.

The “Maintain Identification Details” page appears.

Company Code

Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the company for which you want to enter unique identification numbers.  All the companies that have been defined and are in an “Active” status will be available for selection in the ascending order.

The system displays the following:

Company Name

The name identifying the company.

Business Unit

Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the business unit for which you want to enter unique identification numbers required. All the business units that have been defined for the company will be available for selection in the ascending order.

The system displays the following:

Business Unit Name

The name identifying the business unit.

Org. Unit

Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the organization unit for which you want to enter unique identification numbers.  All the organization units that have been defined and mapped to the selected business unit will be available for selection in the ascending order.

Identifier

Use the drop-down list box to select the identifier for which the unique number must be entered. You can select from “Company Identification Reference”, “Location Reference”, "Product Identification Reference", ”Supply Chain Reference” or “Tax Identification Reference” .

The system retrieves and displays the applicable identification reference details in the “Identification Details” multiline:

Applicable Identification Ref.

A unique reference agency for which an identification number is being entered, for example a D-U-N-S number.

Desc.

The description of the identification reference.

Identification No.

A unique number given by the reference agency  (Alphanumeric, 18). Mandatory.

Default

Use the drop-down list box to set whether you want the identification number must be used as a standard identifier for the organization unit. You can select from “Yes” or “No”.

 
  • Yes – indicates that the identification number must be the standard identification number for the organization unit.

 
  • No – indicates that the identification number must not be the standard identification number for the organization unit.

 

The system displays “No” by default at the launch of the page.

Note: You can set only a single identification number as default.

“Company Identifiers” and “Tax Identifiers” must have unique identification numbers across the company.

If “Location Identifier” is defined for an organization unit, “Blank” must be selected in the “Company Code” and the  “Business Unit” fields. A unique “Location Identifier” must be assigned to every organization unit.

The system saves the identification details. The system also updates the login ID of the user and the system date in the “Created By” and the “Created Date” fields.

Note: At least one row must be selected for deleting the identification details.

The system deletes the identification details.

The system displays the following:

Created By

The login ID of the user who created the identification details.

Created Date
