This page allows you to modify the details of a selected currency. The system retrieves the details of the currency based on the selected currency. You can modify all the details of the currency except the ISO code. The system saves the modifications made. The system also stores the login ID of the user and the system date along with the modified date..
Select the “Edit Currency” link under the “Organization Setup” business component.
The “Edit Currency” page appears.
Modify the following fields if required in the “Currency Information” group box:

ISO Currency Code |
Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the ISO currency for which you want to modify the details. All the “Active” currency codes will be available for selection in the ascending order. |
Note: The system retrieves the details of the currency based on the selected ISO currency code.

Numeric ISO Currency Code |
A unique numeric ISO code identifying the currency (Alphanumeric, 5). Mandatory. |

Currency Symbol |
A unique symbol identifying the currency code (Alphanumeric, 5). Mandatory. |
Note: Special characters like “$” can be entered in this field.

Currency Desc. |
A textual description of the currency (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. |

Currency Sub Units |
The number of smaller units of denomination, which when grouped together, forms one unit of a currency (Integer). Mandatory. For example, 100 cents make 1 dollar. 100 must be entered here. |

Currency Sub Unit Desc. |
A textual description of the sub units (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. For example, 100 cents make 1 dollar. Cents must be entered here. |

Number Of Units |
The number of units of this currency for which the exchange rate is quoted in the foreign exchange market (Integer). Mandatory |
Click the “Edit Currency” pushbutton to save the modifications made.
The system updates the modified details of the currency in the currency entity.
The system also updates the login ID of the user and the system date in the “Last Modified By” and the “Last Modified Date” fields.
The system displays the following:

Created By |
The login ID of the user who has created the currency. |
|
Created Date |
The date on which the currency was created. |
|
Last Modified By |
The login ID of the user who has last modified the currency details. |
|
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the currency details were last modified. |
To proceed, carry out the following:
Select the “Edit Currency Denominations” link at the bottom of the page to modify the denomination details.
Select the “Collaborate” link at the bottom of the page to record or to view the observations or comments or discussions regarding the document.
