Basics of using a typical web page

Using Online Help

This page allows you to retrieve the details of position that are already defined. You can carry out the search using the position code, its control ID and title, employment unit, job, department, and grade. Based on the search criteria entered, the system retrieves the details of the position.

The “Help on Position” page appears.

Position Code

The code identifying the position. To view all the position codes containing specific character, type in the starting character or characters of these position codes.

 

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Examples: PSN1*,PN*12, PS*1 etc.

Position Control ID

The control identifier of the corresponding position. To view all the position control IDs containing specific character, type in the starting character or characters of these position control IDs.

 

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Examples: MN1*, M*12, MN*1.

Position Title

The title of the corresponding position. To view all the position titles containing specific character, type in the starting character or characters of these employment units.

 

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Examples: *MANAGER, TRAINEE*, MAN*R.

 

Zoom facility available

Employment Unit

The employment unit of the corresponding position. To view all the employment units containing specific character, type in the starting character or characters of these employment units.

 

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Examples: EU1*, E*12, EU*1.

Department Desc

The description of the department. To view all the department description containing specific character, type in the starting character or characters of these departments.

 

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Examples: FIN*, ADMIN* etc.

Job

The job mapped to the corresponding position. To view all the jobs containing specific character, type in the starting character or characters of these jobs.

 

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Examples: PROGR*, *ANALYST etc.

Grade Set

The grade set applicable to the corresponding position. To view all the grade sets containing specific character, type in the starting character or characters of these grade sets.

 

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Examples: GST1*, GS*1 etc.

Grade

The grade applicable to the corresponding position. To view all the grades containing specific character, type in the starting character or characters of these grades.

 

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Examples: GRD1*, G*D1, GRD*1 etc.

The system retrieves the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline:

Position Code

The code identifying the position.

Position Control Id.

The control identifier of the corresponding position.

Position Title

The title of the corresponding position.

Department

The department to which the corresponding position belongs.

Job

The job mapped to the corresponding position.

Grade Set

The grade set applicable to the corresponding position.

Grade

The grade applicable to the corresponding position.

Business Unit

The business unit of the corresponding position.

Employment Unit

The employment unit of the corresponding position.
