Select the “View Position” link at the bottom of “View Quick Codes” page.
The “View Position” page appears.
The system displays the following.

Unit Structure Setup |
The name of the organization unit in which the unit structure component is deployed. |

Date Format |
The date that is applicable to the login user. |
|
Position Code |
The code identifying the position. |
|
Position Title |
The title of the corresponding position. |
|
Position Description |
The description of the corresponding position. |
|
Inactive |
Indicate whether the position details are in active status and available for use in other activities or otherwise. |
|
Department Code |
The code of the department to which the position pertains. Examples: HR, Finance |
|
Job Code |
The code of the job to which the position pertains. |
|
No. Of Posts |
The required number of posts for the position. |
You can view the effective dates of the various versions of the record in the “Access Data History” group box.

Effective From |
The date from which the corresponding version of the record has been in effect. |
|
Effective To |
The date till which the corresponding version of the record has been in effect. The effective to value will be blank for the current version of the record. |
Select the “Previous” and “Next” pushbuttons to view the previous and next set of values of the effective dates.

Comments |
The comments entered pertaining to the position details. |

Select the “View Applicable Org. Units” hyperlink to save the employment units applicable to the selected position.
Select the “View Position Qualifications” hyperlink to view the qualifications specified for the selected position.
Select the “View Position Competencies” hyperlink to view the competencies applicable to the required position-employment unit combinations.
Every job is associated with a department; and a position is a combination of a department and a job. To view a position, you (HR Administrator) must first select the required position. You can select the record either by directly entering the position code or by specifying search criteria for the position details.
