This report allows you to view the form report to take the tag printout, which will enable physical counting. Report Information.
Select the “Print PI Tags” link under the “INVReports” business component.
The “Print PI Tags” page appears.
Enter the following field details in the “Search Criteria” group box:

Show System Qty. |
Check this box to show the system quantity in the report. This field is checked by default on launch of the page. If this field is checked then only the System quantity will be displayed in the report else a blank value is displayed for System quantity. |
For viewing the report
Click the “View Report” pushbutton to view the PI Tag report.
Click the “View Serial No. Details” pushbutton to view the serial number details.

Physical inventory (PI) is the process of actual counting of stocks of items in the inventory. After Physical Inventory plan is created, tags are generated for the item-variants for the warehouse, which will be given to the counters for physical counting. Tags can be generated at warehouse level, zone level, bin level or item level.
You can specify the range of PI plan number, PI plan creation date and Tag number in the search criteria. The warehouse code, zone and planned by can also be specified in the search criteria. An option to view the system quantity in the report is specified with the help of the Show System Qty checkbox.
Output For the Report “Print PI Tags”:
Header Information:
The Tag no is displayed in the title bar. It displays the respective BU/OU/Warehouse and Warehouse description at the header. It also displays the Plan No, Plan Description, Plan Date based on the options selected in the Entry page.
Column Information:
The column fields displayed are Item code, Variant code, Item var desc (Item Variant Description, Stock Status, Count Qty, Count UOM, Zone, Bin, Lot No., Sub Lot no., System Qty., Stock UOM and Remarks.
- Item Code, Variant code, Item variant description & Stock Status of the Item for which PI is planned will be displayed in the respective columns.
l If Tag No fields are not entered, the system retrieves the list of PI plans based on the search criteria. The tag type and list of tags are retrieved corresponding to the PI plan.
l If the Tag No fields are entered, only those specific tags will be printed
- The system can generate multiple reports. For example, If the tag type is zone and if the warehouse has 10 zones then 10 reports will be generated and shown as multiple pages.
- The actual Quantity counted for the Item based on the PI plan will be shown in Count Qty. column and the respective UOM will be displayed in Count UOM column
- Corresponding Zone, Bin, Lot no. and Sub lot No. for the Items will be shown in respective columns
- Total stock on hand as shown by the system for the Item will be shown in “System Qty.” column and the “Stock UOM” of the item-variant will be shown in “Stock UOM “ column
- If any Remarks were given for the Item ., then it will be shown in “Remarks” column
Footer Information:
The date and Time of running the report will be displayed at the bottom left side of the report.
Corresponding page number will be displayed at the bottom right side of the report.
Header Information:
It displays the respective BU/OU/Warehouse/Zone/Bin, ., PI Plan no., PI plan desc, Tag No., Tag line no , Item code, Variant Code, Item var desc, Lot no, Stock Status,
Column Information:
The column fields displayed are Serial Nos., & Physically Available (Y/N)
The system does the following validations:
l If the tag fields are not entered, the system retrieves the list of PI plans based on the search criteria.
l If the tag fields are entered serial no for only those tags will be printed.
l All the serial nos. pertains to the Item variant combination for the PI plans / for Tag no. will be displayed in Serial No. column
l The respective serial no. is available in the system or not has to be mentioned as Yes / No in “Physically Available (Y/N) column.
Footer Information:
The date and Time of running the report will be displayed at the bottom left side of the report.
Corresponding page number will be displayed at the bottom right side of the report.
