This activity allows you to record the request details for obtaining the fixed return investment details.

The “Record Request for Fixed Return Investment” page appears.

Request No.

The unique number identifying the request for fixed return instruments. (Alphanumeric, 18). This number is automatically generated if the “Numbering Type” not set to “Manual”. The number is displayed with the corresponding prefix and suffix of the numbering type selected in the “Numbering Type” field. The number is incremented from the last number available in the “Document Numbering Class” business component.

Numbering Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the numbering type for the login organization unit and the “Fixed Return Instruments Request” transaction type. The numbering types must have already been defined in the “Create Numbering Class” activity of the “Document Numbering Class” business component and must be in “Active” status. The system displays the numbering type set as default for the transaction in the “Document Numbering Class” business component.

The system displays the following.

Status

The status of the request number. The status can be Fresh / Deleted / Authorized / Reversed.

Request Date

The date of the request number.

Instrument Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the instrument type classification, for which you want to create fixed return instruments. All the instrument types that has been defined in the “Maintain Entity” activity of the “Financial Service Setup” business component for the entity type “Investment Type” is available for selection.

Instrument Amount

The requested amount for the investment in instrument currency.

Instrument Currency

Use the drop-down list box to select the currency of the instrument. All the permitted currencies is loaded in the combo and defaulted with the base currency of the login company.

Exchange Rate (Instr. to Base)

The system displays the exchange rate defined for the exchange rate type set in function parameters between the instrument currency and the base currency by default on launch of the page.

Finance Book

Use the drop-down list box to select the finance book mapped in which instrument request has to be raised. The finance book mapped for the login user for the login OU (if the Centralized Investment processing is set to No) / for all the OUs of the login OUs Company (if the centralized investment processing is set to Yes) is available for selection.

Party Code

The entity where the investment has been made. The party code can be a bank, post office, or a mutual fund institution.

The system displays the following.

Party Name

The name of the party.

Tenure

The duration of the investment.

Tenure Periodicity

Use the drop-down list box to select the tenure periodicity. All the entities defined in the financial services setup for the entity type tenure periodicity is available for selection.

Bank Code

Use the drop-down list box to select the bank code from which the payment for the investment is made. All the bank codes defined in bank cash definition component is loaded in the combo.

The system displays the following.

Bank Description

The description of the bank code selected.

Payment Method

Use the drop-down list box to select a method of payment. The system displays “Regular” by default on launch of the page.

Pay Mode

Use the drop-down list box to select the mode in which the payment is to be made to the payee. The system displays the values as defined in the "Bank Definition" business component.

Pay Currency

Use the drop-down list box to select the currency code in which the payment is to be made. The currency mapped to the bank code selected is available for selection.

Exchange Rate (pay to Base)

The system displays the exchange rate defined for the exchange rate type set in function parameters between the pay currency and the base currency by default on launch of the page.

Pay Date

The date on which the margin money payment is to be made (Date Format). Mandatory. The system date is displayed as the default date.

Account Code

The investment account code to which the account postings related to the investment happens.

Account Description

The description of the account code.

Payment Point

Use the drop-down list box to select the organization unit from which the payment has to be made. The system lists all the organization units, which are mapped to the Investment Transactions component of the login organizational unit.

Payment Voucher Numbering Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the numbering type for the Payment Point organization unit and the “Sundry Payment Voucher” transaction type. The numbering types must have already been defined in the “Create Numbering Class” activity of the “Document Numbering Class” business component and must be in “Active” status. The system displays the numbering type set as default for the transaction in the “Document Numbering Class” business component.

The system displays the following.

Payment Voucher No.

The auto generated payment voucher number for the Margin Money Amount.

Note: Reversal Date, Remarks for Reversal, Receipt No. and Receipt Voucher Numbering Type controls is visible only when the request is in authorized status and the payment voucher is in paid status.

Reversal Date

The date on which the request for Fixed Return investment is to be reversed (Date Format). The system date is displayed as the default date.

Remarks for Reversal

The reversal remarks for the request.

Receipt No.

The auto generated sundry receipt for the instrument amount refund from the bank if the sundry payment voucher is in paid status.

Receipt Voucher Numbering Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the numbering type for the payment point organization unit and the “Sundry Receipt Voucher” transaction type. The numbering types must have already been defined in the “Create Numbering Class” activity of the “Document Numbering Class” business component and must be in “Active” status. The system displays the numbering type set as default for the transaction in the “Document Numbering Class” business component.

The system updates the status of the request number to “Fresh”.

The system updates the status to “Authorized”.

The system displays the following fields.

Created By

The login ID of the user who created the request number.

Created Date

The date on which the request number is raised.

Last Modified By

The login ID of the user who modified the request number.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the request number is last modified.
