Basics of using Ramco Enterprise series web page

The “Division” page appears.

      - Clicking this icon available near certain fields takes you to the help page of the respective field.

To create a new division

Division

A unique code identifying the division (Alphanumeric, 10). Mandatory. This field can be a combination of alphabets and numbers, and cannot be left blank.

Description

The description of the division. (Alphanumeric, 150). Mandatory.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the division. The combo is loaded with the values as “Active” or “Inactive”. The system displays “Active” by default on the launch of the page. Mandatory.

Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of division. The combo is loaded with a set of  user defined  values. Mandatory

Reason Code

The code identifying the reason for which the status has to be changed. (Alphanumeric, 20). This field is mandatory if the status is changed to “Inactive”.

Reason Description

On enter of reason code, the system displays the description of the reason.

Tab – Location List

The locations that form a given division can be specified here.

Location

The code identifying the location to be mapped with the division. (Alphanumeric, 10). Mandatory.

On enter of location, the system displays the following in the multiline:

Description

The description of location.

Type

The type of location.

Add’I Info.

The additional information about the location details.

Tab – User List

Users who have access to this division can be specified in this tab.

User

The code identifying the user to be mapped with the division. (Alphanumeric, 10). Mandatory.

On enter of the user the system displays the following in the multiline:

Name

The name of the user.

Note: Only “Finance Controller” and “Visibility Controller” fields are visible if the division type is “Warehouse”.

Administrator

Select this checkbox to specify the user as an administrator.

Planner

Select this checkbox to specify the user as a planner.

Executor

Select this checkbox to specify the user as an executor.

Finance Controller

Select this checkbox to specify the user as a finance controller.

Visibility Controller

Select this checkbox to specify the user as a visibility controller.

Default

Select this checkbox to specify the user as a default user. Ensure that the default checked is not duplicated (i.e. default checkbox should not be checked for the same user Division combination).

Note: If the default user for the division has to be changed then the user can remove the default set previously and should save the details; then the user can set the new default and save.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the user. The combo is loaded with the values as “Active” or “Inactive”. The system displays “Active” by default on the launch of the page. Mandatory.

Note: At least one field (Administrator/Planner/Executor/Finance Controller/Visibility Controller) must be selected in the multiline, else the system throws an error message.

On save, the system generates a division code and the status is updated as “Active”.

To modify an existing division details

The following details are displayed in the multiline:

Division/Location

The unique code that identifies the location or division.

Description

The description of the location or division.

Type

The type of location or division.

The system displays the corresponding division details in the right hand side header and tabs. You can modify the required fields.

The system displays the following in the “Data History” group box:

Created By

The login ID of the user who created the division details. The date and time at which the division details was created.

Modified By

The login ID of the user who modified the division details. The date and time at which the division details was last modified.
