Help On Item

This help page allows you to search and select an item code and transfer the details to the required field. You can search for an item code by specifying the item details in the filter criteria. Based on the specified search criteria, the system retrieves all the item codes created previously. The selected item code is transferred to the required page when the OK button is executed.

Click the lens icon positioned next to the “Item” field.

The “Help on Item” page appears.

Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for an Item Code.

Item	The unique code identifying the item.
Short Desc.	A short description of the item. You can specify the complete description or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the item short descriptions that are similar to the value entered here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the item codes irrespective of the item description on the execution of “Get Details” button.
Status	Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of item. The combo is loaded with the values as “Active” or “Inactive”.
Long Desc.	The long description of an item.
Class	A class is a group of commodities sharing a common function or usage. You can specify this code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the class codes that are similar to the value entered here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the segments irrespective of the class code on the execution of “Get details” button.
Tracking	Use the drop-down list box to select the tracking option. The combo is loaded with the values “Lot”, “Serial” and “Lot & Serial”.
Customer	The code identifying the customer mapped to the item.
Customer Name	The name of the customer mapped to the item.
UOM	The master unit of measurement mapped to the Item.
Supplier Code	The code identifying the supplier mapped to the item.
Supplier Name	The name of the supplier mapped to the item.
Location	The unique code identifying the location mapped to the item.
HS Code	The harmonized system (HS) code of the item.
Substitute Item	The substitute item that can replace the original item to avoid shipping delays and partial orders.
Reference No.	The reference number of the third party logistics service.
Hazardous	Select the checkbox to indicate that the item is dangerous while handling.

Click the “Get Details” button to retrieve the search results.

The system retrieves and displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline based on the search criteria entered values.

Item	The code identifying the item to be viewed.
Short Desc.	The short description of the item.
Long Desc.	The long description of the item.
Status	The status of the item.
Customer	The code identifying the customer mapped to the item.
Customer Name	The name of the customer mapped to the item.
Class	The predefined UOM class of the item.
UOM	The master unit of measurement mapped to the item
Tracking	Indicates the tracking option by which the item is traced. viz. ( Lot or Lot/Serial)
Hazmat No.	HAZMAT is an abbreviation for “Hazardous Materials”. The hazardous material number identifying the type of hazardous substance. Usually a 4 – 6 digit number.
Hazard Class	The unique code identifying the class of the hazardous item.

Select the required row in the multiline to transfer the item code in the required page.
Click the “OK” button.
