Help On Vehicle/Equipment

This help page allows you to search and select a Vehicle/Equipment and transfer the details to the required field. You can search for a Vehicle/Equipment ID by specifying the Vehicle/Equipment details in the filter criteria. Based on the specified search criteria, the system retrieves all the Vehicle/Equipment ID’s created previously. The selected Vehicle/Equipment ID is transferred to the required page when the OK button is executed.

Click the lens icon positioned next to the “Vehicle” or “Equipment” field.

The “Help on Vehicle/Equipment” page appears.

Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a Vehicle/Equipment ID.

Search For	Use the drop-down list box to select the vehicle or equipment ID. The combo is loaded with the values “Vehicle” and “Equipment”. The system defaults the value based on the place where the help is clicked.
ID	The unique code identifying the vehicle or equipment.
Description	A short description of the vehicle or equipment. You can specify this description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the vehicle or equipment descriptions that are similar to the value entered here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the vehicle or equipment IDs irrespective of the vehicle or equipment description on the execution of “Get Details” button.
Status	Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the vehicle or equipment. The combo is loaded with the values as “Active” or “Inactive”.
Type	Use the drop-down list box to select the type of vehicle or equipment. The combo is loaded with the predefined values. The system displays “Blank” by default on the launch of the page.
Registration No.	The registration number of the vehicle or equipment.
Reg. Effective Date	The date on which the vehicle or equipment is effective
Owner Type	Use the drop-down list box to select the owner type of the vehicle or equipment. The combo is loaded with the values “”Own and user defined values from quick codes”.
Agency ID	The code identifying the agency (vendor) from whom the vehicle or equipment was hired or leased.
Agency Description	The description of the agency.
VIN	The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). Note: This field is visible only if the Search For is “Vehicle”.
Vehicle Model	The model of the vehicle. Note: This field is visible only if the Search For is “Vehicle”.
Reg. Expiration Date	The date on which the vehicle or equipment registration expires.
Category	Use the drop-down list box to select the category to which the vehicle or equipment belongs. The combo is loaded with the predefined values. The system displays “Blank” by default on the launch of the page.
Reference ID	The reference number of the vehicle or equipment.
Mfg. Name	The name of the manufacturer who manufactured the vehicle or equipment.

Click the “Get Details” button to retrieve the search results.

The system retrieves and displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline based on the search criteria entered values.

ID	The unique code identifying the vehicle or equipment.
Description	A short description of the vehicle or equipment.
Type	The type of vehicle or equipment.
Owner Type	The owner type of the vehicle or equipment.
Status	The status of the vehicle or equipment.
Agency ID	The code identifying the agency (vendor) from whom the vehicle or equipment was hired, rented or leased.
Agency	The name of the agency.
Registration No.	The registration number of the vehicle or equipment.
Reg. Effective Date	The date on which the vehicle or equipment registration is effective.
Category	The category of the vehicle or equipment.
Reference ID	The reference ID of the vehicle or equipment.
Mfg. Name	The name of the manufacturer who manufactured the vehicle or equipment.
VIN	The vehicle identification number (VIN). Note: This field is visible only if the Search For is “Vehicle”.
Vehicle Model	The model of the vehicle. Note: This field is visible only if the Search For is “Vehicle”.
Reg. Expiration Date	The date on which the vehicle or equipment registration expire’s.

Select the required row in the multiline to transfer the Vehicle or Equipment ID in the required page.
Click the “OK” button.
