Help On Zone/Bin/Bin Type

This help page allows you to search and select a zone or bin or bin type and transfer the details to the field where it is required. You can search for a zone or bin or bin type code by specifying the zone, bin and bin type details in the filter criteria. Based on the specified search criteria, the system retrieves all the zone or bin or bin types codes created previously. The selected zone, bin and bin type ID is transferred to the required page when the OK button is executed.

Click the lens icon positioned next to the “Zone” or “Bin” or “Bin Type” field.

The “Help on Zone/Bin/Bin Type” page appears.

Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a Zone/Bin/Bin Type ID.

Search For

Use the drop-down list box to select the zone, bin or bin type. The combo is loaded with the values “Zone”, “Bin” and “Bin Type”. The system defaults the value based on the place where the help is clicked.

Note: The below fields are visible only if the “Search For” is “Bin Type”.

Bin Type	The unique code identifying the bin type.
Description	A short description of the bin type. You can specify this description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the bin type descriptions that are similar to the value entered here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the bin type codes irrespective of the bin type description on the execution of “Get Details” button.
Status	Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the bin type. The combo is loaded with the values as “Active” or “Inactive”.
Storage Unit	Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the storage unit. The combo is loaded with the unit of measurements that is mapped to the entity Storage Unit.
Max. Permissible Weight	The maximum permissible weight of the bin.
Capacity Indicator	Indicates the capacity of the storage bin.

Note: The below fields are visible only if the “Search For” is “Bin”.

Bin	The unique code identifying the bin.
Description	A short description of the bin. You can specify this description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the bin descriptions that are similar to the value entered here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the bin codes irrespective of the bin description on the execution of “Get Details” button.
Blocked	Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the bin is blocked or not. The combo is loaded with the values “Yes” and “No”. The system displays “No” by default on launch of the page.
Bin Type	The bin type which is mapped to the bins.
Zone	The zone to which the bin belongs to.
Aisle	The narrow space between the rows of shelves in a zone.
Stack	Stack is a bin for storing stocks esp. pallets.
Level	The level at which the item has to be stored.
Section	Sections are storage bins with similar features.

Note: The below fields are visible only if the “Search For” is “Zone”.

ID	The unique code identifying the zone.
Description	A short description of the zone. You can specify this description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the zone descriptions that are similar to the value entered here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the zone codes irrespective of the zone description on the execution of “Get Details” button.
Status	Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the zone. The combo is loaded with the values as “Active” or “Inactive”.
Zone	The type of zone loaded with predefined values viz. Storage, Virtual and Overflow
Picking Strategy	Use the drop-down list box to specify the picking strategy of the zone. The combo is loaded with the following values FIFO – Indicates the First In First Out strategy. FEFO – Indicates the First Expiry Date First Out strategy. FMFO – Indicates the First Manufacturing Date First Out strategy Manual – Indicates the manual picking.
Pick By	Use the drop-down list to fetch the zones that specify whether the pick by is handled based on Item or UID(Unique Identification) or by order or by batch.
Pick Sequence	Use the drop-down list to fetch the zones that specify the picking sequence order. The combo is loaded with the values “Ascending” and “Descending”.
Putaway Strategy	Use the drop-down list to fetch the zones that specify the putaway strategy handled in the zone. The combo is loaded with the values from Quick codes, viz. “Manual”, “Nearest Bin”, “Farthest Bin” and “Next Empty bin”.
Mixed By Storage	Use the drop-down list to fetch the zones with mixed storage option. The combo is loaded with the values “Mix by SKU”, “Mix by Batch” and “No Mix”.
Block for Picking	Select the checkbox to fetch the zones that are blocked from picking.
Block for Putaway	Select the checkbox to fetch the zones that is blocked for putaway
Mixed Storage	Select the checkbox to fetch the zones that stock by mixing either with SKU or Batch.

Click the “Get Details” button to retrieve the search results.

The system retrieves and displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline based on the search criteria entered values.

Bin Type	The unique code identifying the bin type.
Description	A short description of the bin type.
Status	The status of the bin type.
Max. Permissible Weight	The maximum permissible weight of the bin.

Bin	The unique code identifying the bin.
Description	The description of bin.
Bin Type	The bin type to which the bin is mapped.
Zone	The number identifying the zone in which the item is stored in the warehouse.
Aisle	The narrow space between the rows of shelves in a zone. Aisle that is mapped to a bin is fetched here
Stack	Stack is a bin for storing stocks esp. pallets. The stack that is mapped to a bin is fetched here.
Level	The level at which the item to be stored. Level that is mapped to a bin is fetched here.
Section	Sections are storage bins with similar features. Section that is mapped to a bin is fetched here
Blocked	The number of bin sections blocked for storing the items. Displays Yes or No.

Zone ID	The unique code identifying the zone.
Zone Description	The description of the zone.
Status	The status of the zone.
Picking Strategy	The picking strategy of the zone.
Pick By	Indicates whether the pick list is handled by item or THU.
Pick Sequence	The picking sequence order.
Putaway Strategy	The putaway strategy of the zone.
Mixed By Storage	The mixed by storage of the zone.

Select the required row in the multiline to transfer the Bin Type or Bin or Zone ID in the required page.
Click the “OK” button.
