Using online help

This activity allows you to map users to a project.

Ø       Select the “Project User Access Mapping” activity under the “Masters” business component.

The “User Access Mapping” page appears.

Ø       Enter the following field in the header:

Access Rights For

Use the drop-down list box to specify the access rights. The options are “Project”, “Proposal”, “Project with Cost”, “Proposal with Cost”, "Work Group" and “Project Reopening”. The system displays “Project” by default on launch of the page.

When the Access Rights for is selected as “Project” and "Project with Cost"

Project Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the project type. The options displayed are Billable and Non Billable.

Project Category

Use the drop-down list box to select the project category. The options displayed are Big, Medium, Small.

Prj./Sub Proj. Code

The project / Sub project combo box to list only those projects for which the login user has been granted access to. This combo to be blank for a user who has not been given access to any project.

User Id

The user id for which you want to view the mapping details.

Function

Use the drop-down list box to select the function. The options displayed are Grant All Rights and Revoke All Rights.

Project / Sub Project Name

The name of the project or the sub project.

Ø        Click the “Get Details” button to retrieve the mapping details.

The system fetches the details of the project.

The following fields are displayed in the multiline.

Project//Sub Proj. Code

The project / Sub project code to which the user has been mapped.

Project/Sub Proj Name

The name of the project / Sub project.

PM

Select the check box to indicate if the PM role is assigned to the user. By default, the login Id which has been used to define the selected project is treated as the PM user. There can be only one PM user for a project.

User Id

The user id for which you want to view the mapping details.

User Name

The name of the user for which you want to view the mapping details.

Grant Rights

The system displays “Yes” or “No” that indicates whether the user has been assigned access rights. If the user is not assigned the PM role, the system displays “No” by default. For a user with PM rights, “Grant Rights “ would always have a value of yes.

When the Access Rights for is selected as “Proposal” and "Proposal with Cost"

Ø        Enter the following fields:

User Id

The user id for which you want to view the mapping details.

Help facility available.

Function

Use the drop-down list box to select the function. The options displayed are Grant All Rights and Revoke All Rights..

The system fetches the details of the project.

The following fields are displayed in the multiline.

User Id

The user id for which you want to view the mapping details.

User Name

The name of the user for which you want to view the mapping details.

Grant Rights

Select a value of yes to map the user to the selected project.

Note: Only the login user with PM Role for the selected project and with Grant Access Rights set as Yes can assign users to the project.

Ø        Click the Submit button to save the mapping details.

The system saves the project user mapping details.

When the Access Rights for is selected as “Proposal” and “Work Group”

Work Group

Use the drop-down list box to select the work group. The combo is loaded with all the work groups defined in Maintain Codes .

User ID

The user id for which you want to view the mapping details.

Existing Rights

Use the drop-down list box to specify the existing rights details. The combo is loaded with “Yes” and “No”. The system displays “Yes” by default on launch of the page.

The system retrieves and displays the details.

Entity

Indicates the detailed description of the work group entity.

Default Access Rights

Use the drop-down list box to specify the default access rights. The combo is loaded with “Grant All Right” and “Revoke Rights”. The system displays “Blank” by default on launch of the page.

The system displays the following details in the “Access Rights” group box.

User ID

A unique code identifying the user.

User Name

Indicates the name of the user.

Grant Rights

Use the drop-down list box to specify the rights. The combo is loaded with “Yes” and “No”. The system displays “No” by default on launch of the page.

User Name

Indicates the name of the user.
