This page allows you to select an item variant used in a formula and transfer the same to the field in which it is required. 

You can retrieve the code by specifying the search criteria in the “Value (S)” field. Based on the filter criteria entered the details of the Item variant such as Item code, variant code, its description and type are retrieved.

You can select the item code from the list displayed. On confirmation, the selected code is transferred to the required page.

The “Help for Formula Item Variant” page appears.

The system displays the following fields in the “Search Criteria” Multiline to search for an item.

Field Caption

The system displays the item code, Variant and Description texts

Rel. Operators

Use the drop-down list box to specify the relational operators viz. “Equal To”, “Between”, “Greater Than”, “Lesser Than” or “Like” for Yield and Description Search Criteria. The system displays the code and its description in the multiline based on the operator selected in this field.

Value (S)

You can enter the item code in full or specify it partially using the operator specified in the “Rel. Operators” field. The system displays the values in the multiline based on the operator selected in the “Rel. Operators” field and the values entered in Value(s) columns.

Value (S)

You can enter a range of item codes in both the text boxes provided alongside Operators. The system displays the values in the multiline based on the operator selected in the “Rel. Operators” field and the values entered in Value(s) columns.

The system fills in the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline, based on the filter criteria entered:

Item

The code identifying the item used in the formula, as defined in the “Item Administration” business component.

Variant

The code identifying the item variant used in the formula, as defined in the “Item Administration” business component.

Type

The type, which could be  “Input” or “Primary Input” or “Primary Product” or “Co-Product” or “By-Product” or “Recycle”.

Description

The textual description of the item variant.

Item Type

The item type, which could be “Raw Material”, “Intermediate”, “Finished Product” or “Scrap”.
