Maintain Formula Alternate Qty Information – A summary of the activity

This activity enables you to provide formula items’ alternate quantity information   for those formulae in “Inactive” status. The advanced quantity can be provided only after the formulae t get created. The alternate quantities can be used to specify additional information regarding weight balance or for other MIS purposes. “Alternate Quantity” is used when, alternate units of measurement of an item is required to be measured. By entering alternate quantities and alternate uoms, the system will be able to compute the main quantities of items.

After entering all the quantities, it is also possible to scale the whole formula based on the quantity entered in the scale to field.

The login user is allowed to modify the formula, either  when “Security Enabled” option is not checked in the “Setup Formula Parameters” activity, or when “Security Enabled” option is checked in the “Setup Formula Parameters” activity and the user has been given edit rights to the formula in the “Formula Management Security” business component.
