Maintain Analysis method for Attributes
This activity allows you to define a unique analysis method and associate it with one or more attributes. A single analysis method can have multiple attributes. You can attach an SOP with the analysis method. The step-by-step procedures to be adopted for quality inspection are identified with a unique analysis method id. Upon creation of analysis method, it is attached to the inspection plan.
Select the “Maintain Analysis Method for Attributes” link from the “Quality Management” business component.
The “Maintain Analysis method for Attributes” page appears.
Enter the following:
Analysis Method |
A unique code identifying the analysis method (Alphanumeric, 32). Mandatory. |
Press <Enter> key. |

The system retrieves and displays the SOP and attribute details. |

Description |
The textual description of the analysis method (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. |
Standard Operating Procedure ID |
The code identifying the SOP, which is to be attached with the analysis method (Alphanumeric, 32). |
The system displays the following:

Enter the following in the “Attribute Details” multiline:
Attribute |
The code identifying the attribute to be associated with the analysis method (Alphanumeric, 06). Mandatory. |

The system displays the following:
Attribute Type |
The attribute type, which could be “Qualitative”, “Quantitative” or “Date”. |
Description |
The textual description of the attribute. |
UOM |
The unit of measurement of the attribute, if the attribute type is quantitative. |
The system displays the following:
Created By |
The name of the user who created the analysis method. |
Created Date |
The date on which the analysis method was created. |
Modified By |
The name of the user who last modified the analysis method. |
Modified Date |
The date on which the analysis method was last modified |
Click the “Maintain ” pushbutton to associate the analysis method with the attributes.
Click the “Delete ” pushbutton, if you wish to delete the analysis method.
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the attribute id for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the toolbar above the multiline, to delete the attribute id selected in the multiline.
