Proposal - An Overview
Introduction
A proposal is created with respect to a customer's enquiry or for internal project executions to arrive at the estimated cost. The scope of the work is identified and broken up into manageable deliverables. Subsequently, tasks are mapped to each deliverable. At the time of mapping of task, materials and resources required for execution of the tasks are estimated. Overheads can be applied to arrive at a more realistic estimate. For every deliverable, a margin percentage can be applied to arrive at a possible proposal value for that deliverable. The sum total of the deliverable wise proposal value becomes the total proposal value.
