The measurement book offers the ability to measure the overall work to be carried out at a certain period of time. The measurement book is used to track the work that has been assigned. The various details such as reporting date, status, project code, task code, contractor code and work area are viewed.
Select the “Measurement Book” activity under the “Project Execution” business component.
The “Measurement Book” page appears.

fields takes you to the help page of the respective field.
Enter the following details:
Mode |
Use the drop-down list box to select the mode of the measurement book. The combo is loaded with the values “MB” and “Generate-PPR”. |
If the mode is selected as “MB”, enter the following details:
Status |
The system displays the status of the measurement book. |
MB No |
The unique number that identifies the measurement book. |
Reported Date |
The reporting date. |
Numbering Series |
Use the drop-down list box to select the numbering series of the measurement book. |
Auto PRR |
Use the drop-down list box to select the auto project progress reporting. The combo is loaded with “No” and “Yes”. The system displays “No” by default on launch of the page. |
Project Code |
The unique code that identifies the project. |
Project Name |
The name of the project. |
Reason for Return |
Indicates the reason if the project is returned. |
Remarks |
Any remarks pertaining to measurement book. |
Enter the following details in the “Search Criteria” group box:
Work Group |
Use the drop-down list box to select the work group. |
Task Group |
Use the drop-down list box to select the task group, tasks mapped to shall be reported. |
Task Sub Group |
Use the drop-down list box to select the sub group of the task. |
Task Code From |
The task code from which you want to retrieve the project details. |
Task Code To |
The task code up to which you want to retrieve the project details. |
Work Area |
The work area of the project applicable for the WBS ID. |
WBS ID From |
The WBS ID range from which you want to filter the project details. |
WBS ID To |
The WBS ID range up to which you want to filter the project details. |
Contractor Code |
The unique code that identifies the contractor. |
Contractor Name |
The name of the contractor. |
Order No From |
The order number from which you want to filter the project details. |
Order No To |
The order number up to which you want to filter the project details. |

Click “Compute” button to compute the measurement book.
Click “Maintain” button to maintain the measurement book.
Click “Authorize” button to authorize the measurement book.
Click “Delete” button to delete the measurement book.

To proceed, carry out the following:
Select the “Attach Notes” link at the bottom of the page to attach the notes information.
Select the “Checklist” link at the bottom of the page to specify the checklist details.
Select the “Collaborate” link at the bottom of the page to collaborate the measurement details.
