Using Online Help

You can allocate spare parts in this page. You can allocate spare parts for a service work order that is selected in the previous page, or you can enter a service work order in this page and allocate spare parts to it. You can allocate spare parts to the service work order or to every task belonging to the work order. Further, you can also unallocated the spare parts that are not required for the service work order.

The “Allocate Spares” page appears.

WO

The service work order for which spares are to be allocated.

WO Desc.

The description of the service work order.

Status

The status of the work order.

Unit/WO

The unit of the work order.

Unit Desc.

The description of the unit.

Sch. Start Date

The scheduled start date of the service work order.

Sch.Compl. Date

The scheduled completion date of the service work order.

Work Group

The work group responsible for the service work order.

The system displays the spares allocation details retrieved from the “Spares” user interface in the multiline.

Item

The item to be allocated for the work order (Alphanumeric, 32).

 

Help facility available

Variant

The variant of the item (Alphanumeric, 8). Data entry in this field is mandatory if variants have been defined for the item specified in the “Item” field.

Item Desc.

The description of the item. (Alphanumeric, 150).

Allocation Method

Use the drop-down list box to select the allocation method. The system provides the following options:

  • Max. Bin Level – Select this option if you wish to allocate stock from the bin with maximum stock.

  • Min. Bin Level – Select this option if you wish to allocate stock from the bin with minimum stock

  • LIFO – Select this option if you wish to allocate stock, which has arrived last in the warehouse.

  • FIFO – Select this option if you wish to allocate stock, which has arrived first in the warehouse

  • Latest Expiry – Select this option if you wish to allocate stock that has the latest expiry date.

  • Earliest Expiry – Select this option if you wish to allocate stock that has the earliest expiry date.

  • Picking Priority – Select this option if you wish to allocate stock on the basis of the picking priority assigned to the zones and bins through storage administration.

The system leaves the field blank, by default

Sch. Qty

The scheduled quantity of spares required for the service work order. (Integer,28)

Allocated Qty.

The quantity of spares allocated. (Integer,28)

To be Allocated Qty.

The quantity of spares to be allocated for the service work order (Integer,28). Data entry in this field is mandatory if you have specified an item in the “Item” field.

UOM

The unit of measurement of the spare part (Alphanumeric,10).

The warehouse from which you receive the spare parts. (Alphanumeric, 10).

Item Status

The status of the item. (Alphanumeric, 25).

Reserved Qty.

The quantity of item reserved. (Integer,28)

Issued Qty.

The quantity of item issued. (Integer,28)

Pending Allocation Qty.

The quantity of item pending for allocation. (Integer,28)

Stock UOM

The unit of measurement of the stock. (Alphanumeric, 10)

Remarks

Any additional information about allocating the spare part to the work order (Alphanumeric, 20).

·    select the item that must be allocated or unallocated.

·    to selectively allocate the spare parts.

Note: You cannot delete an item for which the quantity issued is greater than zero.

The system deletes the spare part from being specified for the work order and removes any demand that is already created for procuring the specific item. The system also deletes any spare parts that have already been allocated for the item.

The system performs the following:

·       The system allocates the spare parts.

·        The system displays the allocated quantity in the “Allocated Quantity “ field.

·        The system also refreshes the page and fills in the “Allocated Item Details” multiline with the details of the allocation that has been done.

To unallocate items

The system retrieves in the “Allocated Item Details” multiline, the following details of the items that were allocated to the service work order or for the tasks that are specified for the work order:

Item

The item that is already allocated for the work order.

Variant

The variant of the item.

Sch. Qty.

The scheduled quantity of the item.

Allocated Qty.

 

The allocated quantity of the item.

Qty. to be Unallocated

The quantity that must be unallocated from the work order Data entry in this field is mandatory if you are selecting the item for un-allocation. (Integer,28)

The system displays the following field:

UOM

The unit of measurement of the item.

Warehouse

The warehouse from which the item is allocated.

Item Status

The status of the item.

Remarks

Any additional information about un-allocating the spare part from the work order (Alphanumeric, 20)

·      select the item that must be unallocated.

·       to selectively allocate the spare parts.

Note: Ensure that allocation is already done for the work order and that the allocated quantity is greater than zero.

The system un-allocates the quantity specified in the “Qty To Be Unallocated” field from the work order.

The system displays the following details in the “Data History” group box:

Created By

The login ID of the user who allocated the spare parts.

Created Date

The date and time at which the spare part was allocated.

Last Modified By

The login ID of the user who last modified the allocation of the spare parts.

Last Modified Date

The date and time at which the allocation was last modified.
