This page allows you to create and authorize the subcontracting issue transaction. The subcontracting issue records issue of material from a warehouse based on the subcontracting work order or Subcontract Release Slip. Subcontracting work order and Subcontract Release Slip  are the reference documents for the creation and maintenance of the subcontract  issue transaction. Multiple issues of an item can be recorded under a single subcontracting work order.

Subcontracting issues can be created and authorized based on the permissions granted to the user. The user must have the requisite authorize permission to authorize the subcontracting issue transaction.

The “Create And Authorize Subcontracting Issue” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Status

The status of the subcontracting issue transaction which will be Blank when you launch the screen first time.

Transaction No.

The number identifying the transaction which will be generated once you submit or you can specify the number manually if the value of the numbering type combo is ‘Manual’.

Numbering Type

Use the drop-down list box to select a numbering type for generating the transaction number of the subcontracting issue transaction. All the numbering types defined in the “Create Numbering Type” activity of the “Numbering Class” component for the “Subcontracting Issue” transaction type will be displayed here.

Transaction Date

The date on which the transaction took place.

Warehouse Code

The unique code of the warehouse from which the item is issued.

The system displays the following:

Warehouse Desc.

A textual description of the warehouse.

Subcontracting Point

Use the drop-down list box to select the subcontracting point to which the items are issued from the warehouse. This is the Org. Unit which is responsible for the subcontracting function.

Ref. Doc. Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of reference document. The system provides the options, “Subcontracting Order", and "Subcontracting Release Slip". Subcontract release slip follows the Blanket Order.

Ref. Doc. No.

The unique number identifying the reference document.

Posting FB

Posting FB is carried over from the Ref. Doc and is not allowed to be changed. It is a display only field. The subcontract WIP account will be debited and posted to this finance book.

The system displays the following:

Supplier Code

The unique code identifying the supplier to whom the items are issued from the warehouse for  subcontracting purposes. Supplier should be a valid supplier of the company.

Supplier Name

The name of the supplier, to whom the items are delivered on subcontract.

The default details defined in the “Storage Administration” component for the particular item/variant combination in the selected warehouse will be fetched and displayed here.

The system displays the following in the “Project Details” group box.

Created at

Indicates the organization unit in which the details are posted.

Project Code

A unique code identifying the project.

Project Description

The detailed description of the project.

Note: The “Project Details” group box is visible only when the “SC order” is associated to a “Project Code”.

Item Code

The unique code identifying the item.

Variant Code

Variant code of the item.

The system displays the following in the “Item Information” multiline:

Item Variant Desc.

A textual description of the item variant.

Transaction UOM

 

The unit of measurement of the item issued through subcontracting issue transaction.

Qty.

The number of units of the item that is issued (Integer) Mandatory. Ensure that the number entered in this field is greater than zero.

The system displays the following in the “Item Information” multiline:

Alternate UOM.

The alternate unit of measurement for a catchweight item.

 Enter the following in the “Item Information” multiline:

Alternate Qty

The alternate quantity for a catchweight item. (Integer).This quantity is fetched on entering the Issue Qty.

Stock Status

Use the drop-down list box to specify the stock status of the item issued. All the stock statuses defined in the “Configure Stock Status” activity of the “Stock Status Definition” component that are applicable to the subcontracting issue transaction are displayed here.

Zone

The number identifying the zone in which the item is be stored in the warehouse (Alphanumeric, 10). This zone number must have been defined in the “Create Warehouse Information” activity of the “Storage Administration” component.

Bin

The number identifying the bin in which the item is stored (Alphanumeric, 10). This bin number must have been defined in the “Create Warehouse Information” activity of the “Storage Administration” component.

Lot No.

The unique number identifying the lot in the warehouse.

Sub Lot No.

The number identifying the sub-lot under the lot.

Starting Serial No.

The starting serial number of the item that is to be to be issued.

Ending Serial No.

The ending serial number of the item that is to be to be issued.

The system displays the following in the “Item Information” multiline from the Reference document:

Ref. Doc. Line No.

The line number of the reference document.

Issue Serial No.

This is the serial in which each ref doc line is scheduled for delivery. Under a single ref. doc line number there could number of schedules due on different dates. This number represents the schedule or the timetable in which the items are to be delivered to the supplier.

 Issue Date

The dates of issue of items from the warehouse fixed by the subcontracting order for each issue serial number. 

Available Qty.

The total quantity of the particular item available in the warehouse is displayed.

The system displays the following:

Created By

The login id, who created the subcontracting issue.

Created Date

The date on which the subcontracting issue is created.
