Create And Authorize Subcontracting Issue – A Summary of the Activity

This activity allows you to issue items from warehouse  that are used in subcontracting These are the input items for an output item, which is produced by a subcontractor of the company. Subcontracting items are referred by the subcontracting order or Subcontracting release slip. All the issues happen within the boundary of the reference documents. The subcontracting issue details are recorded based on the subcontracting work order. Subcontracting is primarily carried out by large organizations, which delegate items such as raw materials, spares, consumables and other tools to third party vendors/suppliers for the production of finished goods. The required quantity of materials is issued from the warehouse to the various subcontracting OUs or plants through the subcontracting issue transaction. The subcontracting work order is the reference document for the creation and maintenance of the issue transaction. The work order contains all the details regarding the item requirements and the tasks to be performed. The subcontracting issue transaction records the issue of the requisite quantity of items from the warehouse against the requesting subcontracting work order.

Multiple issues of an item can be recorded against a single subcontracting work order. Items in all stock statuses that are mapped and are applicable to the subcontracting issue transaction can only be issued. Subcontracting orders do not specify the stock status of the items, which are issued. According to the availability inventory user has to decide upon the stock status to be issued. In all practical cases stock status can be either accepted, consignment In, conditionally accepted. However other statuses can be also issued.
