Inquire Attribute – Item Information

This page allows you to inquire the details of item/variants and their attributes. You need to specify whether you wish to inquire information on item/variants in a business unit or item/variants associated to item groups. If you wish to carry out the analysis based on item groups, then you need to specify atleast one item group for which attributes will be retrieved. The item group must have been attached to atleast one item. Else, the system displays an error message.

You can carry out a search on item/variants using attribute code, quantitative value details, qualitative value, as filter criteria. Based on the specified search criteria, the system retrieves and displays the item administration point, item code, variant code, item variant description and stock UOM in the “Item Results” multiline.

Select the " Inquire Attribute-Item Information" link under the " Stock Maintenance" business component

The “Inquire Attribute-Item Information” page appears.

Enter the following in the “Analysis Information” group box

Analysis Method

Use the drop-down list box to specify whether you wish to inquire the details of all item/variants in a BU or item/variants attached to item groups. The system displays the options, “All Items” and “Items in Item Group”. The system displays “All Items” by default.

Enter the following in the “Item Group Information” multiline:

Item Group Code	A unique code identifying the item group (Alphanumeric, 10). Mandatory. The item group must have atleast one item attached to it and must be in “Active” status.
	Help facility available.

The system displays the following in the “Item Group Information” multiline:

Item Group Desc.	The textual description of the item group. The system retrieves the description from the “Item Group” component for the corresponding item group code that you have entered.
Attributes Attached	Indicates if any attributes are attached to the item group. The system checks the “item Group” component to verify whether there are any attributes associated with the item group. The system displays one of the following options, “Yes” or “No”.

Click the “Get Attribute List” pushbutton to retrieve the list of attributes and their values from the “Item Group” component and display them in the “Attribute Selection Criteria” multiline.
Enter the following in the “Attribute Selection Criteria” multiline. Data entry in the following fields is optional:

Attribute Code	A unique code identifying the attribute (Alphanumeric, 10).
	Help facility available.

The system displays the following in the “Attribute Selection Criteria” multiline.

Attribute Type

The type of attribute. Attributes are of two types “Qualitative” and “Quantitative”. The system retrieves and displays the attribute type for the corresponding attribute code.

Enter the following in the “Attribute Selection Criteria” multiline

Quantitative Value From	The quantitative value of the attribute from which you wish to view the item/variant details.(Alphanumeric,12)
Quantitative Value To	The quantitative value of the attribute till which you wish to view the item/variant details.(Alphanumeric,12)
Qualitative Value	The qualitative value of the attribute for which you wish to inquire the item/variant details..(Alphanumeric, 30)

Note: If the attribute is quantitative and if quantitative value from only is given, then quantitative value to will be assumed to the largest value possible for the datatype of the attribute. If quantitative value to only is given, then quantitative value from will be assumed to the smallest value possible for the datatype.

The system displays the following in the “Attribute Selection Criteria” multiline:

Quantitative Attribute UOM	The unit of measurement of the item if attribute type is quantitative.
Attribute Desc.	The textual description of the attribute

Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.

The system displays the following in the “Item Results” multiline:

Item Admin. Point	The point at which the items are defined. The item administration point denotes the location where the “Item Administration” component is deployed.
Item Code	A unique code identifying the item.
Variant Code	Variant code of the item.
Item Variant Desc.	A textual description of the item/variant.
Stock UOM	The unit of measurement of the item stocked in the warehouse.

To proceed, carry out the following

Select the “Inquire Attribute Based Lot Stock” link at the bottom of the page to inquire stock of lot controlled items based on their attributes.
Select the “Inquire Attribute Based Serial No. Stock” link at the bottom of the page to inquire stock of serially controlled items based on their attributes.
Select the “View Attribute Mapping” link at the bottom of the page to view the items that are mapped to the attribute.
Select the “View Item-Item Group Mapping” link at the bottom of the page to view the items that are attached to item groups.
