Reverse Transfer Note

Glossary

This page allows you to reverse the transfer note details. You can view the details like the number identifying the document, the type of the document, status of the transfer note, date on which the documents were raised, the code identifying the Supplier, the name of the Supplier and the code identifying the finance book. This activity allows you to reverse the Supplier balance transfers.

The “Reverse Supplier Balance Transfer” page appears.

The system displays the following in the Reverse Transfer Credit Note Information:

Reversal Doc. No.

A unique number identifying the reversal document generated for the transfer debit note. This number is generated and displayed by the system, when the “Reverse” pushbutton is clicked. The number is displayed with the corresponding prefix and suffix of the numbering type selected in the “Numbering Type” field. The number is incremented from the last number available in the “Document Numbering Class” business component.

Reversal Date

The date on which the reversal document is created (Date Format). Mandatory. The date entered in this field must be a valid date in an “Open” financial year. The system date is displayed by default on launch of the page.

Note: The date entered in this field must be after the date of the debit / credit note and the date on which the debit / credit note was authorized.

Status

The status of the transfer note.

Reason Code

Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the reason for which the credit note is being reversed. All the reasons that have been defined in the “Maintain Reason Information” activity of the “Reason Definition” business component for the transfer credit note and that are in the “Active” status will be available for selection in the ascending order.

Remarks for Reversal

Any observations or comments regarding the reversal of the credit note (Alphanumeric, 255). Mandatory.

Doc. No.

The number identifying the document whose information is to be reversed.

Doc. Type

The type of the document, which could be Transfer Credit Note.

Finance Book

The code identifying the finance book in which the transfer details are posted.

Doc. Date

The date on which the documents were raised.

Supplier Code

The code identifying the Supplier.

Supplier Name

The Supplier name.

Currency

The currency in which the transfer is made.

Exchange Rate

The exchange rate of the currency.

Account Code

The code identifying the account.

Transaction amount

The code identifying the account.

Comments

Any remarks pertaining to the transfer of balance.

The system displays the following in the Reverse Transfer Debit Note Information:

The date on which the transfer debit / credit note was last modified.
