This page allows you to search and select a bin under a zone for activation / inactivation. A bin can be inactivated only if the zone under which it falls is Active and it does not have any stock.
To search for a bin that is to be activated / inactivated, you need to specify the bin, bin desc. and bin status in the “Search Criteria” group box. The system will retrieve all the bins matching the search criteria. You can change the status of the selected bin to “Active” or “Inactive”.
Select the “Activate / Inactivate Bin” link at the bottom of the “Activate / Inactivate Zone” page.
The “Activate / Inactivate Bin” page appears.
The system displays the following:

Warehouse Code |
The code identifying the warehouse. |

Warehouse Desc. |
The description of the warehouse. |
|
Zone |
The zone code under which the bin is defined. |
|
Zone Desc. |
The description of the zone. |
Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box:

Bin |
A unique code identifying the bin (Alphanumeric, 10). Mandatory. |

Bin Desc. |
A textual description of the bin (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. |

Bin Status |
The status of the bin. Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the bin. The system displays “ALL” by default. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the search results.
The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline based on the specified search criteria:

Picking Priority |
The number specifying the priority of picking the items from the bin. |

Reason Code |
A unique code identifying the reason for activation / inactivation (Alphanumeric,6). This reason code should have been already defined in the “Classes” component. |

A textual description of the reason code (Alphanumeric, 100). |

Status |
The status of the bin. It could be either “Active” or “Inactive”. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline for attaching notes.
Click the “Activate Bin” pushbutton to activate the bin under the zone.
Click the “Inactivate Bin” pushbutton to inactivate the bin under the zone.
