Activate / Inactivate Warehouse

This page allows you to search and select a warehouse for activation / inactivation. To search for a warehouse that is to be activated / inactivated, you need to specify the warehouse code, warehouse desc., the type of warehouse and the status in the “Search Criteria” group box. The system will retrieve all the warehouses matching the search criteria. You can change the status of the selected warehouse to “Active” or “Inactive”.

Select the “Activate / Inactivate Storage Information” link under the “Storage Administration” business component.

The “Activate / Inactivate Warehouse” page appears.

Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box:

Warehouse Code

A unique code identifying the warehouse (Alphanumeric, 10). Mandatory.

Warehouse Desc.

A textual description of the warehouse (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory.

Warehouse Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the warehouse. The warehouse type field can take the values “All”, “Normal” or “Free”.

All – Irrespective of the status of the warehouse all records are displayed.
Normal - Zones and bins can be defined for storing the items in this type of warehouse.
Free - Items are stored in bulk in this type of warehouse. Zones and bins cannot be defined in this type of warehouse.

The system sets the field to “All” by default.

Warehouse Status	The status of the warehouse. Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the warehouse. The system displays “ALL” by default.
WH Transaction Type	Use the drop-down to specify the transaction type of the warehouse. The options available are "Trading", Manufacturing", "Commercial" and "Capital".The system displays "Manufacturing" as the default value on launch of the page.

Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the search results.

The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline based on the specified search criteria:

Warehouse Code	A unique code identifying the warehouse.
Warehouse Desc.	A textual description of the warehouse.
Warehouse Type	The type of warehouse.
WH Transaction Type	The type of transaction warehouse which could be "Trading ", "Manufacturing", "Commercial" or "Capital".
Status	The status of the warehouse. It could be either “Active” or “Inactive”.
Reason Code	A unique code identifying the reason for activation / inactivation (Alphanumeric, 6). This reason code should have been already defined in the “Classes” component.

Reason Desc.	A textual description of the reason code (Alphanumeric, 100).
Created by	The login id of the user who created the warehouse.
Create Date	The date on which the warehouse was created.
Last Modified by	The login id of the user who last activated or inactivated the warehouse.
Last Modified Date	The date on which the warehouse was last activated or inactivated.

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the warehouse for which the zone has to be activated / inactivated and attaching notes.

Click the “Activate Warehouse” pushbutton to activate the Warehouse that is in inactive status.

Click the “Inactivate Warehouse pushbutton to inactivate the Warehouse that is in active status.

To proceed, carry out the following

Select “Activate / Inactivate Zone” link at the bottom of the page to activate / inactivate a zone under the warehouse.
