Copy Warehouse Information
This page is used to create new warehouse and copy the detail from an existing warehouse. This page is used to copy information from one source warehouse into many warehouses. Inactive source warehouse details can be copied and created into new warehouse in active status.
Select the “Copy Warehouse Information” link under the “Storage Administration” business component.
The “Copy Warehouse Information” page appears.
Enter the following details:
WH Admin Point |
Use the drop-down list box to select the warehouse admin point. The combo is loaded with values defined for “Storage Administration” component in the “Organization Setup” component. The system displays the login OU by default on launch of the page. |
Warehouse Code |
A unique code identifying the warehouse (Alphanumeric, 10). Mandatory. This number should be unique across organizational units. |
Description |
The description of the warehouse (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. |
Site |
A code identifying the location of the site (Alphanumeric, 10). |
Storage Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the storage type of the warehouse. The combo is loaded with “Normal” and “Free”.
The system displays “Normal” by default on launch of the page. |
Transaction Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the transaction type of the warehouse. The options are “Trading”, “Manufacturing”, “Commercial”, “Non-Capital” and “Capital”. The system displays "Manufacturing” as the default value on launch of the page. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the source warehouse details in the multiline.
The system displays the following in the multiline:
Source WH Code |
The code identifying the source warehouse. |
Source WH Desc |
The description of the source warehouse. |
Source WH Type |
Indicates the type of the source warehouse. |
Source WH Transaction Type |
Indicates the transaction type of the source warehouse. |
Source WH Status |
Indicates the status of the source warehouse. |
Enter the following in the multiline:
Warehouse Code |
The code identifying the warehouse to which the details are to be copied. (Alphanumeric, 10). Mandatory when the “Use Default Warehouse Numbering” check box is not selected. |
Description |
The description of the warehouse. (Alphanumeric, 40) |
Finance Book |
Use the drop-down list box to select the finance book. The combo is loaded with valid finance books for the login OU along with blank. The system displays blank by default on launch of the page. Mandatory. |
Site |
A code identifying the location of the site (Alphanumeric, 10). Mandatory. |

Select the following required fields:
Copy Warehouse Properties |
Check this box to allow the warehouse properties of the source warehouse code to be copied to the new warehouse code. |
Copy Storage Information |
Check this box to allow the storage information of the source warehouse code to be copied to the new warehouse code. |
Copy Warehouse User Mapping |
Check this box to allow the user mapping of the source warehouse code to be copied to the new warehouse code. This can be checked only when both warehouses belong to the same OU. |
Use Default Warehouse Numbering |
Check this box to allow default numbering type for the warehouses. |
Note: At least one row should be selected in the multiline.
Click the “Copy Warehouse” pushbutton to copy the source warehouse details to the new warehouse code.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select “Edit Warehouse Information” link at the bottom of the page to modify the warehouse details.
Select “Attach Notes” link at the bottom of the page to attach notes for the Warehouse.
The system displays the following details:
Created By |
The login id of the person who created the copy warehouse information. |
Created Date |
The date on which the copy warehouse information is created. |
