Select Warehouse code
This page allows you to select a warehouse for maintaining the warehouse planning parameter. If you know the warehouse code, you can directly enter it. Otherwise you can carry out a search based on the warehouse code, description and warehouse type. Details such as warehouse code, description and type of the warehouse are displayed in the “Search Results” multiline.
Select the “Maintain Warehouse Planning Parameter” link under the “Storage Administration” business component.
The “Select Warehouse Code” page appears.
Enter the following field in the “Direct Entry” group box, if you know the warehouse code for which the warehouse planning parameter is to be maintained:
Warehouse Code |
A unique code identifying the warehouse for which the warehouse information is to be modified (Alphanumeric, 10). Mandatory. |
Select the “Maintain Warehouse Planning Parameter” link provided alongside the “Warehouse Code” field to maintain the warehouse planning parameter information.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a warehouse. Data entry in the following fields is optional:
Warehouse Code |
A unique code identifying the warehouse (Alphanumeric, 10). Mandatory. You can enter the warehouse code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the warehouse codes whose values are similar to the value entered here. |
Warehouse Desc. |
A textual description of the warehouse (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the warehouses whose descriptions are similar to the description entered here |
Warehouse Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the warehouse The warehouse type could be “Free” or “Normal”. The system retrieves all the warehouses of the type specified here. Select “All” from the drop-down list box to retrieve details of the warehouse irrespective of their type. This field is set to “Normal” by default. |
WH Transaction Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the transaction type of the warehouse. The options are “Trading”, “Manufacturing”, “Commercial” and “Capital”. The system displays "Manufacturing " as the default value on launch of the page. |
Item Code |
The unique code identifying the item (Alphanumeric, 32). Mandatory. Ensure that the item code exists for the login OU. The system performs this check using the “Item Administration” component. |
Variant Code |
The variant code of the selected item (Alphanumeric, 8). The variant code must be valid for the corresponding item code and must exist in the login OU. The system performs this check using the “Item Administration” component. |
Item Variant Desc |
The description of the item variant. |
Planning Type |
The type of warehouse planning. It can be “Min – Max” or “Reorder Level”. The system displays blank by default on the launch of the page |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.
The system retrieves the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline based on the search criteria specified:
Warehouse Code |
A unique code identifying the warehouse. |
Warehouse Desc. |
A textual description of the warehouse. |
Warehouse Type |
The type of the warehouse, which could be either “Free” or “Normal”. |
WH Transaction Type |
The type of transaction Warehouse,which could be “Trading ”, “Manufacturing”, “Commercial” or “Capital”. |
Click the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the warehouse.
To proceed, carry out the following:
Select the “Maintain Warehouse Planning Parameter” link provided alongside the “Warehouse Code” direct entry field to maintain the warehouse planning parameter information.
