Maintain Codes
This activity allows you to maintain codes that identify the code types defined for an organization. You need to define the appropriate code for each of the type by specifying the code in the multiline. Along with the code, you must also specify the description that identifies the code type defined. You can also retrieve the details of the code types already defined by selecting the appropriate code type. On selection, the system refreshes the page and displays the corresponding code details in the multiline. The system updates the code details for the selected code type.
Select the “Maintain Codes” activity under the “Codes Masters” business component.
The “Maintain Codes” page appears.
Enter the following field details in the header:

Code Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the code type of the login company OU. The combo is loaded with various code types. The system displays “Blank” by default on launch of the page. |
Enter the following details in the “Code Type Details” multiline:

Code |
The unique identifier of the code that is being defined for the object selected in the code type. Mandatory. The code should not be blank. |
Note: Once the Code is created for the Code Type, it cannot be modified. Only the description can be modified.
Enter the following details in the “Code Type Details” multiline:

Description |
The description of the code type. Mandatory. If code is specified, then the code description should not be left blank. |
Note: If new Code is added for the selected Code Type then the Code should be unique for the selected Code Type.

Default |
Use the drop-down list box to default the selected code in the respective activities. The combo is loaded with “No” and “Yes”. The system displays “No” by default on launch of the page. |

Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the code. The combo is loaded with “Active” and “Inactive”. The system displays “Active” by default on launch of the page. |

Start Time |
Indicates the shift start time. |

End Time |
Indicates the shift end time. |
Note: The Start Time and End Time are visible only when the “Code Type” is selected as “Time Slot” and “Shift”.

Charge Code |
A unique code identifying the charges. |
|
Charge Description |
The detailed description of the charge code. |
|
TCD Code |
A unique code identifying the TCD. |
|
TCD Variant |
The detailed description of the TCD code. |
Note: The Charge Code, Charge Description, TCD Code and TCD Description are visible only when the “Code Type” is selected as “Expense Type".

Capacity |
Indicates the seating capacity of a vehicle type. |
Note: The Capacity is visible only when the “Code Type” is selected as “Vehicle Type”.

Org. OU |
Indicates the organization unit at which the warehouse code was created. |

Warehouse Code |
A unique code identifying the warehouse. |
Note: The Org OU and Warehouse Code are visible only when the “Code Type” is selected as “Location”.
The system displays the following in the “Code Type Details” multiline.

Created By |
The login ID of the user who created the code details. |
|
Created Date |
The date on which the code details were created. |
|
Modified By |
The login ID of the user who last modified the code details. |
|
Modified Date |
The date on which the code details were last modified. |
Click the “Maintain Codes” pushbutton to maintain the codes.
The system saves the code against the selected code type value.
