Permit Master
This activity allows you to record the permit number for transporting the material from one location to another location. You can specify the routes and the vehicles covered under a particular permit. You can record the validity period for permits. You can specify the permit type and the authority details against a permit number.
You can specify the existing permit number for modifying the permit details. The system retrieves the existing permit number details. You can confirm, delete, activate/inactivate and amend the permit number. The system auto updates the status of “Permit Number” to “Inactive” when the “Valid Until Date” is less than the system date. You can extend and activate an inactive document by specifying the “Valid Until Date” greater than the system date.
Select the “Permit Master” activity under the “Transport Masters” business component.
The “Permit Master” page appears.
Note: Clicking this icon available near certain fields takes you to the help page of the respective field.
The system displays the following in the header.
Status |
The status of the permit number. The status can be “Fresh” or “Active” or “Deleted”, or “Under Amendment” or “Confirmed” or “Inactive”. |
Enter the following field details in the “Permit Details” group box:
Permit No |
A unique number identifying the permit. Mandatory. |
Permit Description |
The detailed description of the permit. |
Permit Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the permit type. The combo is loaded with the permit types defined in the “Maintain Codes” activity of “Codes Master” component that are in “Active” status. |
Issued By |
Use the drop-down list box to select the name of authority who issued the permit. The combo is loaded with the name of the authorities defined in the “Maintain Codes” activity of “Codes Master” component and in “Active” status. |
Amendment No |
Use the drop-down list box to view the permit amendment details. The system displays “0” by default on launch of the page. |
Permit Remarks |
Any remarks pertaining to permit. |
Valid From |
The date from which the permit is valid. Mandatory. This date should be earlier than the Valid Until date. |
Valid Until |
The date until which the permit is valid. Mandatory. |
The system displays the following in the “Permit Details” group box.
Created at OU |
Indicates the organization unit at which the permit number is created. |
Enter the following details in the multiline:
Route No |
A unique number identifying the route for which the permit is applicable. |
The system displays the following in the multiline.
Route Description |
The detailed description of the route. |
From Location |
Indicates the origin location associated with the route number. |
To Location |
The destination location associated with the route number. |

Any remarks pertaining to the route. |

Vehicle No |
A unique number identifying the vehicle for which the permit has been issued. |
The system displays the following in the multiline.
Vehicle Type |
Indicates the vehicle type associated with the vehicle number for which the permit has been issued. |
Vehicle Owner |
The owner of the vehicle. |
Enter the following details in the multiline:
Vehicle Remarks |
Any remarks pertaining to the vehicle. |
Click the “Save” pushbutton.
The system creates the Permit Number in “Fresh” status.
Click the “Confirm” pushbutton.
The system confirms the Permit Number and updates the status as “Confirmed”
Note: only Fresh or Under Amendment status of the Permit Number can be confirmed.
Click the “Delete” pushbutton.
The system deletes the Permit Number and updates the status as “Deleted”.
Note: Only “Fresh” status of the Permit Number can be deleted.
Click the “Activate/Inactivate” pushbutton.
The system updates the Permit Number status as “Active”.
Note: if Valid Until date is less than the system date, the system updates the status as “Inactive”. You can extend the “Valid Until” date greater than the system date to activate the document.
Click the “Amend” pushbutton.
The system updates the Permit Number status as “Under Amendment” and increments the Amendment Number to 1.
Note: Only “Confirmed” status of the Permit Number can be amended.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Attach Notes” link at the bottom of the page to specify notes details.
The system displays the following details in the “Data History” group box:

The date on which the permit masters details were created. |

The login ID of the user who last modified the permit details. |

The date on which the permit details were last modified. |
