Create Item Independent UOM Conversion –A Summary of the activity

This activity allows you to create item independent UOM conversion factors for a unique combination of UOMs.

Standard UOMs are accepted and available universally. Conversion from one such UOM to another is referred as item independent conversion. In such conversions, item is not associated, for example, the conversion of Kilograms to Grams. You can add conversion factors for these item independent UOM’s in this activity. You can enter only one conversion factor for a given combination of UOMs.

The “Create Item Independent UOM Conversion” page allows you to add conversion factor for the UOMs. The “Help on UOM” page provides help facility on the UOM Code. The “Edit UOM Conversion(s)” page allows you to modify the conversion factor.
