Basics of using Ramco Enterprise series web page

Using online help

This page allows you to modify the UOM Information. You can carry out a search using the UOM code and UOM description. The system will retrieve all the UOMs matching the search criteria entered. You can modify the UOM description and also specify whether fractions can be allowed for the UOM while recording transactions. You can modify the UOM details if the UOM is in “Active” status.

The “Edit UOM” page appears.

UOM

A unique code identifying the UOM to be modified (Alphanumeric, 10). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the UOM codes that are similar to the value entered here.

UOM Desc.

A textual description of the UOM to be modified (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the UOM, whose descriptions are similar to the value, entered here.

UOM Class

A group of UOM grouped into a class. It may be some predefined UOM classes or you may define your own UOM class.

UOM Class Desc.

The description of the UOM class. You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the UOM class, whose descriptions are similar to the value, entered here. The system throws an error if this field is left blank.

 

Zoom facility available.

The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline based on the specified search criteria:

UOM  Code

A unique code identifying the UOM.

UOM Desc.

A textual description of the UOM (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory.

Decimals Allowed

Use the drop-down list box and set the field to “Yes” if the UOM can be used with decimals while recording transactions.

UOM Class

A group of UOMs grouped into a class. It may be some predefined uom classes or you may define your own uom class. The system checks for the existence of the uom class and throws an error if it does not exists. The system throws an error if this field is left blank.

On successful modification the system displays the following:

UOM Class Desc.

The description of the UOM Class.

Created by

The login id of the user who created the UOM.

Created Date

The system date on which the UOM was created.

Last Modified by

The login id of the user who lastly modified the UOM details.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the UOM was last modified.
