Using online help

This activity allows you to define forecast consumption rules. You can specify the shipping warehouse where the demand has been occurred which can consume against a forecast warehouse where demand has been forecasted. The corresponding shipping warehouse and plant details are displayed in the multiline. You can view the shipping warehouses available for the selected forecast plant, which are defaulted by the system. These warehouses can be linked to the forecast warehouse.

The consumption is checked against each of the shipping warehouse. If the demands are not consumed in the shipping warehouse, then the demands are consumed at the forecast warehouse. You can also delete the shipping warehouse details by making the appropriate selection of records in the multiline and initiate the delete operation. The system updates the login user and system date as a part of modification details.

The “Edit Forecast Consumption Rule” page appears.

Forecast Warehouse

The code or number identifying the warehouse where the forecast demands that can be raised and consumed for more than one shipping warehouse Mandatory. The forecast warehouse should not be blank and should be valid. If it is left blank or not valid, then the system displays an error message. The system ensures that the login user has at least “View” access permission to the “Maintained By” control units. The system retrieves the details for the forecast warehouse specified.

Forecast Plant

Use the drop-down list box to select the valid plants where the forecast warehouse is valid. Otherwise the system displays an error message. The system retrieves all the storage administration Organization Units to which demand planning Organization Unit is mapped from CIM Model. The system displays “First Value” by default on launch of the page.

Maintained By

Use the drop-down list box to select the “Maintained By” control units for which the login user has “View” access permission. The system retrieves the control units from the control unit master. The system displays “Default Maintained By” by default on launch of the page.

The system retrieves the Business Unit for the Login Organization Unit from E Model. The system checks all the Organization units are mapped to the Business Unit and also checks whether all the warehouses are mapped to the Organization Unit.

Shipping Warehouse

The code or number identifying the shipping warehouse where the demands occurred can consume against a forecast warehouse where the demands are forecasted. The shipping warehouse should be valid. If the shipping warehouse is specified, then the system deletes the shipping warehouse for the forecast warehouse.

The system displays the following:

Shipping Plant

The shipping plant that indicates the plant of the selected warehouse where the output items are shipped to meet the demand.

The system ensures that the login user has at least “Modify” access permission to the “Maintained By” control unit and at least one shipping warehouse has been mapped to the forecast warehouse. The system checks whether the forecast warehouse and shipping warehouse are mapped to the same Business unit. If not mapped, the system displays an error message.

The system saves the forecast consumption rule details and deletes the shipping warehouse marked for the deletion.

The system updates the login ID of the user to the “Edited By” and the system date to the “Edited Date” field.

The system displays the following:

Created By

The login ID of the user who created the forecast consumption rule.

Created Date

The date on which the forecast was created forecast consumption rule.

Edited By

The login ID of the user who modified the forecast consumption rule.

Edited Date

The date on which the forecast consumption rule was modified.
