Basics of using Ramco Enterprise series web page

Using online help

This activity allows you to set the parameters for the “Demand Planning” business component. The parameters are usually set for the component to follow during various processing of the transactions.

You can set the parameters that are involved in forecast creation. The parameters are set for the selected plant. If the parameter “Sales forecast consuming production forecast” is set to “Yes”, then during forecast creation/modification, the sales forecasts can be consumed against the production forecasts. If the parameter "Allow Automatic no generation of Forecast Group set to “Yes”, then during forecast generation, the automatic generation of the forecast group number is allowed. If this parameter is set to “No”, even if the forecast group is not specified, the forecast group number will not be automatically generated. Based on the parameter set, the changes to the component are updated. These parameters can also be modified as per subsequent business requirements. The system saves the modified parameters.

The “Component Parameters” page appears.
