Create Planning Bill – A summary of the activity

A planning bill is primarily defined for the purpose of aggregate planning over a longer horizon. The planning group must be specified along with details of quantity, control unit and plant for which the planning group is valid. The planning bill is linked to a bill of resource. The bill of resource is used to define the sequence of activities for the production of the items/planning group for which the planning bill is defined. You can associate a bill of resource to the planning bill by matching the planning group with that defined in the bill of resource. You can also make use of the help facility to search for the bill of resource details.

After specifying the planning group details in the header, you can capture the input item and planning group details in the multiline. You can specify the plant for the planning group and warehouse for the item with the planned quantity. A sequence number is attached to every sequence of the planning bill. You can also specify the validity dates for the item and planning group. Help screens are inserted to search and retrieve the planning bill, planning group, bill of resource, item, warehouse and resource sequence details. The system generates the planning bill for the planning group. Links are provided at the bottom of the page to modify the planning bill and notes details.
