This activity allows you to upload all the MPS results from the calling page to an excel file. You can specify the path to upload all the information of the MPS to the excel file identified by specifying the name of the file and initiate the upload operation. You also have the facility to download back the details after making necessary modification to the MPS details from the excel file back to the screen.
You can make a bulk selection of the items/planning groups and can also specify the path from where the file has to be downloaded identified with the downloaded file name. The file can be downloaded using the download operation.
Select the “Upload / Download MPS” link under the “Supply Chain Planning“ business component.
The “Upload / Download MPS” page appears.
Enter the following in the “Upload MPS Option” group box:
Upload File Path |
The path that identifies the excel file to be uploaded. The system checks whether the upload file path is valid. If it is not valid, then the system displays an error message. |

Upload File Name |
The name of the excel file identified under the path. The system checks if the file name is left blank. If it is left blank then the system displays an error message. It also checks for any special characters, which cannot be saved as a file name. If special characters are specified, then the system displays an error message. |
Click the “Upload MPS ” pushbutton to upload the excel file details.
For the upload file path and file name, the system retrieves the upload details.
Enter the following in the “Upload MPS Option” group box:
From Item Code |
The stating code in the range of item codes from which the details are to be retrieved. The system retrieves all the item codes greater than or equal to the value specified. |

To Item Code |
The ending code in the range of item codes till which the details are to be retrieved. The system retrieves all the item codes lesser than or equal to the value specified. |

Item Group |
The code identifying the group of the item. The system checks if the “All MPS Items” is selected. If it is selected then the system checks if the item group exists in the item group master in inventory. If it does not exist, then the system displays an error message. |
From Plg. Group |
The stating code in the range of planning groups from which the details are to be retrieved. The system retrieves all the planning groups greater than or equal to the value specified. |
To Plg. Group |
The ending code in the range of planning groups till which the details are to be retrieved. The system retrieves all the planning groups lesser than or equal to the value specified. |
All MPS Items |
Select the checkbox to indicate that all the items selected are MPS items. |
Material Planner |
Use the drop-down list box to select the material planner defined in the control unit for which the login user has at least “View” access permissions. The system retrieves the control units in ascending order. The material planner should be valid for the specified warehouse. |
Plant |
The valid plant where the item is identified. The system retrieves the warehouse Organization Units along with a blank value. |
Warehouse Code |
The code identifying the warehouse where the item is identified. The system checks for the existence of the warehouse in the warehouse master in inventory. If it does not exist, then the system displays an error message. |

Download File Path |
The path from which the excel file is downloaded. The system checks whether the download file path is valid. If it is not valid, then the system displays an error message. The path cannot be left blank. |

Download File Name |
The name of the excel file identified under the path. The download file name cannot be left blank. The system checks if the download file name exists in the selected download file path. If it does not exist, the system displays an error message. |
Click the “Download” pushbutton to download the excel details.
The system checks whether “All MPS Items” field is checked:
If it is checked then the "From Item", "To Item", "From Planning Group", "To Planning Group", "Item Group" need not be specified. The system retrieves all the MPS Items/variant/planning group which satisfy the following conditions:
The planning group/item/variant should be valid in the selected plant and warehouse.
The planning group/item/variant should have material planner selected.
If the it is not checked, then the system retrieves all the MPS items/variant for the item and item group mapping in inventory for the item group. The item/variant must satisfy the following conditions:
The item/variant should be valid in the selected plant and warehouse.
The item/variant should have material planner as selected "material planner".
If the “All MPS Items” is not checked, then the system retrieves all the planning groups, which fall between from planning group and to planning group. The planning groups must also satisfy the following condition. The planning group should have material planner as selected "material planner".
If the “All MPS Items” is not checked, the system retrieves the all the items/variant, which fall between from item and to item. The item/variant must also satisfy the following conditions:
The item/variant should be valid in the selected plant and warehouse.
The item/variant should have material planner as selected "material planner".
The system exports planning group, item, variant, material planner, period, total MPS quantity, MRP release quantity to the download file name and down load file path.
