Basics of using Ramco Enterprise series web page

Using online help

This page allows you to define the error messages for existing services as well as newly extended services. You can specify the details and severity of the messages as critical or continue. You can also specify the corrective action taken against the corresponding error message.

The “Message Definition” page appears.

The system displays the following in the header.

Component Description

The name of the component.

Component Name

The description of the component.

Message ID From

The starting range of the message id from which you wish to retrieve the message details.

Message ID To

The ending range of the message id until which you wish to retrieve the message details.

Message Like

The description of the message by which you wish to retrieve the message details. You can either enter the message description fully or partially.

Severity

Use the drop-down list box to select the severity of the message by which you wish to retrieve the message details. The combo is loaded with “Critical” and “Continue”.

The system retrieves the details and displays in the multiline.

Message ID            

A unique identification number for the service message.

Description

The details of the message.

Message Severity

Use the drop-down list box to specify the severity of the message. The combo is loaded with “Critical” and “Continue”. The system displays “Critical” by default on launch of the page.

  • Critical – used in the case of critical errors.

  • Continue - used for displaying warning and success messages.

Corrective Action

The correction action taken against the corresponding error message.

Detailed Desc.

The detailed description of the error message.

The system displays the following in the multiline.

Base Artifact

Indicates whether the service message is base or extended.

The system saves the details and retrieves to the required page.
